Hopefully Pieces of Eight makes it down. Anyone seen this stuff in Fairfield County?

Nope. No foley brothers in CT
I haven't heard of or seen any in new haven/fairfield county yet, only farther north.

    Shhhhh.

Can anyone else confirm that the latest batch is not being released because of a "canning issue?"

I have heard this also, but no independent confirmation. I would assume a lot of that batch ended up in the bombers for last weekend's festival and hopefully more kegs at draft accounts in state!

Anectdotally, Sip was all over the place in CT (Fairfield County anyway) on draft the last week / week and a half. And that includes several places that have not normally received it.

Caraluzzi's bethel grocery store has 2 cases of Super Session#2 in stock. 1 on the cold beer shelf, one case in the cooler in back. If the shelf is empty, you may have to ask if any is left.

Yeah, Sip definitely seems to be going the distance lately. I think I've shown up to 3 or 4 random bars in late June and they all had it on tap. Another two bars had Super Session #2. They're really cranking it out when it comes to kegs/distro.

The Lawsons blog says CT is getting Sip cans delivered this week.

Haven't heard of any sightings. Some places talking of some canning line issues. Typical BS. I'm skeptical.

This. Plus if two roads had a canning issue, I'm sure it would be a huge deal for a brewery of that size and would have been fixed asap. The SOS bottles sold at the event were bottled on 6/25, so almost 3 weeks ago. I am still hopefull that we will see cans this week or at least very soon.

Good looks @Greg2977, I just stopped by about 20 minutes ago and can confirm this! I only saw two 6-packs (can date 7/7) on the shelf though ($14.99 per six-pack), and just took one. When I was checking out I was talking to a guy who looked like a manager and he said they received three cases, and that there was still some more in the back cooler. He didn't specify how much was left though.

**They also have fresh sea hag with the new plastic six-pack carrier, with a canning date of 7/13.

My source said they ran out of Sip cans. So not Two Roads canning issue but can issue. I have worked with Ball before and their lead times can be insane.

Well that sounds more plausible, hopefully not the case though!

I got two six packs of Super Session #2 today at two different locations. Didn't even expect anything, whose better than me?

The physical aluminum cans or the filled cans.

Not postive they use Ball cans and they can be made in a number of locations, but I think Ball has a plant in Baltimore, it's been a while since I dealt with them and it wasn't for beverage containers.

Caraluzzis had 4 6pk's in the cooler at 7:30 tonight. 3 left after I grabbed one.
