I'll be in anchorage this week not familiar at all with breweries there was wondering what bottles I should be on lookout for while I'm there to take home with me. I'm usually interested in BA stouts and fruit sours but if there's something that's a must try I'm all ears
anchorage has a deal with the devil bottles available to go at the brewery. that's pretty much a must get. the midnight sun alaskana series beers are only available in AK, so that'd be a good option. for BA stouts, grab berserker (and bar fly if you can find any)
Darkest Hour bottles are available at Anchorage Brewing as well. The newest batch of Irish Gael from King Street is at the brewery and bottle shops.
Definitely stop by La Bodega and talk to Chris, he will steer you in the right direction for bottled beers on the market. Midnight Sun has most of their bottled lineup at the brewery for sale. Like itracy stated Anchorage has several of their beers on sale for purchase, mainly Deal with the devil and Darkest Hour that fit what your looking for. You can also try time waits for no one available for on site consumption.
yeah. how'd i forget darkest hour.... I noticed yesterday that the Silver Gulch shop in the airport has a way better selection now than my last visit back in November.... There were a few of the Alaskana series beers there (Sloper, Suicide Run, maybe a few others), as well as SOB, lots of Kassik's stuff, IPA cans from King St and Broken Tooth, some King St bottles...
