I never experienced the bad tap line issues...not saying they don't have them...I just never experienced them. Come to think of it, not sure that I've ever actually had draft pours there more than maybe 2-3 times.

That rating was mostly based on just their variety. Their selection has always kept me interested. I still go in from time to time to check out their bottles just because I work so close by...

Cool. Let us know if they get anything interesting! The only places I go on the South Side are Urban Tap, OTB and Carmella's

Assuming the selection is decent, I would frequent any establishment that used this pricing strategy.

Sorry, don't know if there's been an update with that allowed. Google search might reveal it.

I just picked that link because the information was shorter and easier to read than the law... :-)

Here is what I have always known it to be. From google.

    ad·junct
    ˈaˌjəNGkt/
    noun
    1. 1.
a thing added to something else as a supplementary rather than an essential part.
"computer technology is an adjunct to learning"
synonyms: supplement, addition, extra, add-on, accessory, accompaniment, complement, appurtenance; More

Yeah the way they are using the word is not meant to be derogatory in the sense of the meaning, but I think they really think/mean it to be derogatory. But again these neckbeards seem to be just discovering the word from seeing other people post about it, so I doubt they really even realize it just means something added to a base beer.

Sure, but it's more specific when referring to brewing. From craftbeer.com:
    Adjunct
Any unmalted grain or other fermentable ingredient used in the brewing process. Adjuncts used are typically either rice or corn, and can also include honey, syrups, and numerous other sources of fermentable carbohydrates. They are common in mass produced light American lager-style beers.

Coffee, cinnamon, & other non-fermentable flavor additives aren't adjuncts.

Understood. Like I said, I barely know anything about the science of brewing, so I was oblivious to that side of it. This is just how I have seen the word used (or even misused?) in regards to beers like Huna or any other Chili Pepper beer, Prop, and the like.

This reminds me of the terrible credit card game my friends used to play. At the end of a meal/round of drinks, you all put your credits cards in and the server picks one at random. I only played twice ever and lost both times.

Yes. I'm a huge advocate of credit card roulette in theory, but too perpetually broke to subject myself to the variance very often in practice. (Also, I barely ever actually eat out with groups of people these days, much less groups of gambley people.)

Splitting the bill any way except in-half is innately a gamble. Too many people have limited math skills; how a tip calculator is a thing is sad. I feel like servers are less objectionable to separate checks anymore, and I don't frequent places that enforce automatic gratuity.

This is one of the best reasons for credit card roulette. Saves so much time from math idiots, cheapskates, etc. Best case scenario, you get a free meal. Worst case scenario, you're buying your buddies dinner or drinks or whatever. Unless you're out to dinner with people you hate, or are just poor like me, it seems like a win/win.

Doesn't coconut or chocolate or anything have fermentable sugars?

Imagine what the negative connotation does to an adjunct professor's reputation and self-esteem.

And pretty much anything not included under the Reinheitsgebot can be considered an adjunct. The disdain for them is rather quite antiquated, unless referring to BMC.

I thought PBBOC was great, especially for a free beer. I had 1.5 allotments, so I reached out to the trades I made and offered to send them some. I also gave 1 to two folks I was talking to while enjoying some drafts there this evening. Voodoo rules.

I respectfully disagree with kbuzz on nothing being wrong with Blackbeards. I agree that Voodoo did not need to do anything, but I can say the 4 bottles I shared in were not what I had on draft. I still enjoyed it as per my previous post, but the green apple took over. I expected nothing and got another great beer, so kudos to Voodoo and it further strengthens my love for them.

Max's Allegheny Tavern is on the naughty list.

or just carry around an expired credit card, or one of those visa gift cards with only $20 on it, and always win.
