I'm seriously debating taking the drive up for Beat this year. That is one of the accessible big Cali beers that I haven't managed to try. The line at FWIBF every year isn't worth it lol

Doesn't matter. Whichever is easier. I'm thinking of a Saturday for the drive up. I get off work at 2:30, so I would just head that way and arrive a bit before 4pm. It would have to be the 25th. Let me know if that works.

Today i popped open a beer ive been anxiously waiting to try since receiving it in a box a few months ago. 3 Brothers- Daylight Cravings. (Bottled 2/11/15). Well clearly i wasnt the only anxious one. The second i popped the cap i heard a huge his with a cloud like i just opened up dry ice. Instantly it starts foaming. (Im not sure how to explain this next part without crossing that line, so let the jokes commence) My initial reaction was to put my mouth over the bottle. That backfired instantly. Filled up my mouth and just proceeded to blow up all over my kitchen. On the walls, the table, the floor, the ceiling fan. EVERYWHERE. Threw it in the sink and it just kept going. Looked like one of those old snake like fireworks you light and it comes out of the ground. Tried pouring myself a glass and all i got was this...

I think i salvaged one sip and it was definitely off. I went on untapped and then saw all the checkins describing its over carbonation.

Sorry for the long post, but if you are sitting one one of these, and decide to open it. Do it outside or lay a tarp down. Its not pretty.

Freedom my suspension has been lifted!

 

Dropped off three boxes today all should be unexpected: 1 special occasion congrats box, one retaliation box a long time coming, another box that my son randomly selected a name from people I haven't sent to. More boxes going out next week even I don't know where they're going.

 

Out of curiosity when did this box start going around? This was our 1st traveling box right? I love that it's still out in the wild.

So, I had my first Bruery stout a couple days ago from @PA-Michigander which was Freckle (and was delicious). Before any of you crazy bastards get any ideas, I have all the days of the week plus more in the 'closet' (just waiting to share, as is the story for ALL the beers in the closet). These damn ESPYs are making me shed a tear or 2... (yea I'm a '#beermuffs Erika' *****)! Anyways, I am REALLY enjoying this Bruery Stout that Nick was trying to kill me with!

Where in the fuk is 18.4%?! I can't find it, it's Soooo Smooth! Can't thank you enough for sending this bud. I also need to thank @Dave_Treat because he sent me one about a month or so ago! You guys will get what you deserve! I've spent over $350 on multiples of 2 different beers from down here to start fuking up some porches. Just give me a lil more time.

 

So i won a raffle at a local package store and stopped by to collect my winnings today....

Would have been better if it actually had the alcohol in it still. 4.5 liter glass display bottle. Trying to figure out what i can do with it. Originally thought i could collect my bottle caps in it, but of course they dont fit. Any suggestions?

 

Fill it with beer and make @vitaminvert chug it.

 

haha fill it up with the actual vodka and then send it to @vitaminvert as a birthday gift under one condition hes gotta chug. Just trying to challenge him tho, not commit homicide

 

Some of the MD and VA guys were discussing this problem with Three Brothers/Brothers a few weeks ago. Several people mentioned either experiencing or hearing from other MD/VA people that Brothers has an overcarbonation problem with several of their recent releases. @Devman171 was present for this conversation although I don't remember if he had any relevant experience, but, as you noted, this is unfortunately not an isolated incident.

 

Pick up their Panty Peeler and you can combine both?
