Wow, this is awesome to hear, those are some very gratifying compliments. Really appreciate the kind words, and I'm so glad to hear the trip was worth it.

We've got one or two more to go. The goal is to keep it on the shelf through August.

To spare me from browsing a thousand posts, can someone clue me into when the next BPT release is anticipated ?

 

Any plans on opening distribution up outside of CA? (hint, hint Las Vegas )

 

Well I'm ISO just haven't posted for it...yet! Mostly because I appreciate Jacob and his posts on here and partly because I love good beer. #Pallets4Trade

 

We haven't announced anything yet, but it's looking like Devils' Teeth Aged in Mezcal Barrels will be next (which some of you may have tasted at our anniversary party.) We're about to order labels, so I'd guess it'll be about 1 month from today before we have another BPT sale. We've got a bunch of stuff lined up for fall/winter though. Like, a bunch.

Unfortunately, not right now. We are maxed out on capacity, and the next expansion project is going to be a major, seriously expensive undertaking since we're out of space on our cellar pad. So I don't expect to us to be adding any new territories until next year, with the exception of Kern County, which we're adding in August.

Mezcal, eh? Wow, I'm actually going to skip a MT bottle release.

 

A great beer that is in an unpopular style and aged in unpopular barrels? Definitely down. Hopefully this means bigger bottle limits with higher odds of buying

 

More for the rest of us! OK, more for the rest of you that actually live in San Diego but still...

Uncommon sure, but I don't think unpopular is a good term for either the style or the barrel choice.

 

I had two pours of that sucker over the weekend and it was an interesting adventure. I'll be down to buy some.

 

Yeah, I've tried to appreciate Mezcal and Scotch... I just can't. The smoke / peat is overwhelming.

I mean, i had it after drinking almost 180oz of Modern Times for the weekend, that was part of the final session and I enjoyed it.. though I could see how that could power some planes over at the airport and you can taste it.

 

Probably not for the style but it's still not an IRS, which, as illustrated by Alesmith sales, means lower demand. I definitely think so for the barrel though. Mezcal certainly doesn't have the name recognition as bourbon, rum or scotch, and has such a specific profile as to give it a "take it or leave it" stance (as has already been shown in this thread).

Still, Modern Times has been on a pretty good tear lately, so it's entirely possible it'll sell out in minutes simply because of the brewery.

 

Definitely buying some Mezcal. I'm such a Modem Tones fan boy. YOLO. Yep, I might have had a few adult beverages tonight.

Just opened my BBA Monster's Park w/ coffee last night. Damn, that was super smooth and balanced. Very chewy and delicious. No alcohol heat at all. Rivals BC Coffee. Great smell on it as well. Don't know where all the aroma complaints were coming from. Cheers!

 

@ModernTimesJacob will the 3 new glasses be available this weekend at the brewery or are they online only?
