    Last pour of homebrew pale ale. Clarity has gone down as I poured , top definitely way better, must have stirred up sediment. Still light and refreshing.

    Here's one from the vault..... 2009 vintage. I'm toasting this one in honor of my good friend, mentor, and IMHO beer legend of the Northeast....Tod Mott.

    Many of you probably have had his beers over the past 25+ years as he worked at several iconic and influential institutions throughout the years.

    I'd have to say this beer held up pretty well, considering its style. Heavy black raisin/plum oxidation, which honestly only helped some of the flavors fuse together. One hell of a good low ABV breakfast beer! Tod, this one is in honor of YOU.

    Good Sunday morning all. A beer I haven't had before and will submit my NBS thoughts later today - a Belgian strong pale ale, "Delirium
    tremens", The Huyghe Brewery, Ghent, Belgium:

    In a word, outstanding. Subtle bready Belgian yeast and fruity esters. Well carbonated - like drinking sparkling wine/beer. Coriander and green apples and a little banana. I have to drink more of this and think about all the good flavors I'm tasting...Cheers!

    It was the best out of the five or six that I've been to. The turnout was great and it was a generally nice crowd. Unfortunately it was 95 degrees all day so everyone was borderline dying of heat stroke.

    Good morning BAs! Another somewhat sunny day here in NW PA - may do some more exterior painting today. I was outside earlier and fed the turtles some japanese beetles - kind of muggy - just the type of weather I love! Todays cross-post with NBS is:
