It just doesn't become the lead story on the BA nightly news when it happens to the "not-good" stuff

If you want I could give nightly updates on spam seaming heads not working. Doubt you would find it that interesting...

Pompous? If a brand of beer is languishing in storage somewhere, waiting to replace old stock, then production is part of the issue.

I either got the wrong beer at Flix in dsm when they had it or it was bad. I just went to Surly, and Todd was excellent! Definitely up there with Sue for me.
My buddy loved it as well. Great color, flavor, and aroma from the brew house. Can't wait until it hits cans!

Parlor City in Cedar Rapids has had Todd on tap for a lot of the summer, and it doesn't taste even close to what I had while in Minnesota.

I will say that the second batch we got at Bait Shop in DSM a couple months ago was head over heels better than what we had for launch and what I had at Darkness Day last year. Even at $6 a pint, I did not hesitate, and was usually ordering a couple every time I'd stop in. Just unbelievably good.

Will there be more than one canning run of this? I see its back on tap at the brewery.

Glad to hear your take on the D Day pours being relatively weak. That was the only time I had Todd and I thought it was pretty bad. I have been looking forward to trying a can to see if it was just off or palate fatigue or what.

didn't see one can of Todd on the canning line today only a small stack of furious cans so my assumption would be they are done canning the first batch??? I didn't ask todd himself as I had to leave.

I was told by someone in the industry that the initial investment to can a beer is much more than the ongoing production and maintenance cost, and normally a brewery would not can a one-off, they would bottle it - so we can (probably) safely assume that it will be a seasonal or rotating offering.

Well, they also stated explicitly that it will be a seasonal. So that's a dead giveaway.

He was referring to how Blakkr was only ran once this year I believe

It may have only ran once this year, but it is still a seasonal offering and they ran an ton of it. Every store you walked into had Blakkr in the coolers.
