Bullfrog will now be distributed in Pittsburgh, they signed with Galli as their wholesaler.

Wow. Any preliminary indication as to what sorts of things will be available? Just kegs? Do they even bottle/can anything on a regular basis?

Just kegs. No word yet on what's coming in, though they had a few IPAs and cider at the Beerfest this weekend.

They bottle Edgar but I think that's about it. I've never even seen bottles of it before.

I'd love to leave you hanging but I try to not be too much of an ass. We have 4 1/6 bbl coming in on Wednesday and will tap the kriek on Thursday at 3:30. We will keep that tap Bullfrog products until the bbls are gone. Kriek is the only sour. Edger, a pilsner and a belgian with chili and something else are the others we have now. There will be a few more Kriek bbls around. I don't know the number. Stop in and get a glass on Thursday during Happy Hour. I've never had Bullfrog so, I'll be enjoying a couple.

So Wigle is having an East End Barleywine-barrel gin release on Friday. Would be interesting to see spirits from a beer barrel rather than the converse we are used to.

    Wait...what?

What East End beer is this they speak of? If BA Grat, then those barrels originally started off with Wigle Whiskey in them...right?

I was thinking of glasses only until 6. Then growlers for whatever is left over for the kriek. yes on growler for the others.

    so confused...

So did EE age Grat in virgin oak barrels at some point? If so...where did that beer end up? If the beer has been gone from those barrels long enough to house gin for aging...I'd think we'd have seen/heard about the oak-aged grat by now.

    What am I missing?

The (used whiskey) barrels used for BA Grat, Wigle dumped some of their gin-ish flavored moonshine in them.

Right. I saw East End post that. It was Whiskey - BA Grat - then Gin. The release is for the Gin.

Was there Friday (and Saturday) myself. Didn't realize you frequented there; next time I'm up there, I'll buy you a beer.

I've seen Edgar & French Kiss (their Biere de Garde) in 750s. Years ago, though.
