Woot stout in Grand Rapids

just picked some up from plum market in ann arbor. they had two cases, said they might get more in friday as well

 

Drake Rd. had some and sold out quick

 

I was there shortly afterwards and grabbed the last one off the shelf. They usually don't put all of the stock out at once, sp there may be more, but this is moving quickly.

 

So, bunch bottles floating around now. Seems to me this beer got quite the hype. Is it worth it?

 

I don't think so. Managed to get a single bottle yesterday and was underwhelmed considering the hype behind this beer. Too hot and flavors were somewhat muted. I'd say time will probably help it a little, but for the money I'd rather get a 4 pack of Founder's Imperial Stout. Much preferred High West-ified Coffee from Lagunitas.

 

Already hit Chicago this Week.

 

Picked up a bottle today in Grand Blanc. At 9.99 a bottle I definitely think it is worth a try.

 

Oliver T's I assume? Saw they posted on FB. Hopefully Mike will have a bottle left over when I head in there tomorrow morning. Did they have a lot left?

 

I didn't get to see what he had in the back but did see one other gentleman leaving with one. Love Oliver T's selection and always find it tough to walk out of there without spending a fortune. Picked up a couple bottles of Blue Spruce Pilsner, I Love You with All my Stout, 12 oz Pumpking and a sandwich. Nice haul.

 

So true, I can never walk out with just one bottle!

 

hoping this hits the east side Wednesday. Champanes and Holiday, I'm looking at you!

 

D. Schulers were sold out at 4 PM today when I showed up. Did manage to get one at Copper Vine though

Well I called Riverside at 10:05, spent a few minutes on hold, and learned that they're sold out. Any stores between Byron Center and Caledonia that may have some still? I get that this one is popular but jeez... I don't typically have any issues finding the beer I'm looking for but this was gone before i even knew it hit stores.

 

Did they happen to say when they are getting Neptune?

I noticed that too (as I'm sitting in an aerial lift class). Wonder why they said sold out vs not here yet... All the good things I've read about this place and they can't just give an upfront answer and now poof they have some...guess I'll try again when the class is done (although it's doubtful they'll have anything left in a few hours)
