Beer Release (Short's Brew): Spruce Pilsner

Holiday missed their shipment, so scratch my comment from earlier. (though still hand a hard time carrying everything I bought to the car )

 

Looking back on it, I would have taken every last one you had. This beer was fantastic.

Have you ever had the Spruce beer that Fort Geiorge makes? You might seek that out after them shorts, and see how they compare.

 

Cheers! Holy spruce flavor, but I'm finding this much more enjoyable than Juicy Tree.

 

We have (2) FG Organic Spruce Bud Ale 50L KEGs in my distributor's cooler. I know where they're going and I will most definitely be there when they're tapped.

 

I had some at the brewery, and was taken with how citrusy it was. Need to try the Shorts again.

 

Picked up a 6 pack last night and had a couple. I am enjoying it a lot more than I remember enjoying it last year.

 

I've been on the same errand for a few years now. A delicious, fantastic errand.

 

Was really strange for me. First sip reminded me of the 'work' I had to put in to finish each Juicy Tree I had last winter. Then something strange happened...It became easier and easier to drink. Definitely different and outside-the-box, but REALLY good.

 

This hanging around anywhere near Grand Rapids still? Doubtful, but figured I'd ask. My dad will be there this weekend.

 

First time trying this one, tasting great.

@HopHeadHerman any tease on the beers for the fall variety pack? August is only a few days away...

 

If anyone misses out on this I'll have 4 to trade most likely.

I'm going to try one more cold but at this point I can't see myself wanting the rest. First bottle did nothing for me, except puke a little in my mouth.

 

Tried it for the first time last night. Shared with four friends. Three said "eww Christmas Tree" while one friend and I loved it. Granted, a couple do not drink craft beer often but a couple do. I got a much different flavor than Christmas tree and I'm glad I'm in the loving-it-camp. Really curious to try it with some age on it.

 

Just finished my sixer of Spruce. Any hints, @HopHeadHerman ?
