    After a visit to Jacksonville to participate in the Jax Beer Society gathering, a bottle share, an impromptu late night pub crawl, then some beer trading/drinking yesterday, I'm home again. Today I'm starting with a current favorite, Choklat Oranj:

    I have learned that the orange fades relatively quickly, so buy/drink these as you get them. Bottled 5/13/15:

    Aroma of orange blossoms. Tastes like that foil wrapped chocolate orange candy that is sold at Christmas. Orange flavor is still strong. Bittersweet dark chocolate finish. So tasty. Cheers!

    It's not enough that you copy my choice of brew, but you have to one-up me with your proper glassware. :wink:

    Ehh, we'll see. Plenty of days start with promise only to fall apart. Let's hope this day doesn't follow that pattern. Going to go do another beer-reward 5k later on, now that I've given my knees a week's worth of rest.

    Best IPA I've had to date. What other IPAs are similar in character? By that i mean the strong tropical fruit, citrus, and caramel notes. Had a Stone the other day and it was far too oniony for my taste (kinda like the all day IPA)

    Continuing to break into the haul from my UK trip, it's time to get acquainted with Westvleteren. The 8 was a smooth-drinking dubbel, a little quiet in the nose at first, but some warmth brought it together, with a healthy dose of dark fruit and Belgian yeast on the palate. Finely done, indeed.
