How far away are you from New Cannan? I have good family friends that live there, so just curious if I ever visit them, are you within driving distance?

I wasn't just in one fraternity, I was in two One a social fraternity (what most people call 'frats') and another a professional fraternity (though they drank almost as often).

And I went to a school with an engineering focus, and was an engineering major myself, so we knew exactly what kind of hydrostatic pressure was in that two-story beer bong... and thought it was funny anyway.

 

We actually had a pretty decent system. The bottom had a stopcock/ball valve (both sound kind of dirty). So you could, and some did, pour your own beer into the top, go downstairs, and then open up the valve.

 

Jealous, my chapter was (officially) dry. We still got into some drinking, but it was either a small portion of the group, or like pulling teeth to get the rest into it.

So I was kinda bummed when my TH growler exploded on me, but TH has made me a fan for life.. More than double the cost on the G/C!

 

Sure, all the chapters were officially dry. So we'd have our meeting, close it, and then start drinking Neither chapter that I belong to (I was part of a colony that founded a chapter at my school, so was also a part of the other school's chapter) were house chapters, so that changes things.

Between my two fraternities, I'm actually an official member of 5 chapters...

 

This is the difference. My chapter had no real interest in this for the most part, a few did but most took the "professional" part of "professional fraternity" a little too seriously, like someone was going to put a mark on their permanent record for daring to consume dreaded alcohol... amid the whole group it was a weird vibe, but the drinkers in the crowd knew who each other were and we would have fun after those that weren't interested left.

That's awesome, how did you go about this? Photographic proof or just the circumstances? I had a growler explode on me as well, but wasn't sure how to bring it up to them.
