Elephant Beer from Carlsberg. Unfortunately when I went to Denmark, wasn't much of a craft guy. In retrospect I hate myself now. Elephant beer was my go to when there.

I just had a very nice Spaten Lager in a green bottle.

I had a Tsingtao tonight at a Thai restaurant for our anniversary and although I don't usually enjoy this type of beer, it tasted pretty damn good. Maybe it was the occasion though

Spaten comes to mind as well as stuff from Oud Beersel and Boon Oude Geuze.

For me most green bottle brews are to skunky for me... However I do enjoy a Micky's or a little kings.

I try not to buy beer in green (or clear) bottles because of skunking. Also I believe Pilsner Urquell is now sold in brown bottles (and cans).

Some of my early favorites (back when I learned that "Please Do Not Expose to Light" meant something).

Funny you mention that. We had a blind tasting last night and people were getting saison dupont confused with spaten pils...

Both are great beers but I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Especially strange with two different styles of beer though

For the record, I thought that was sarcasm myself. If true, then they were clearly not well cared for.

fwiw- I bought a sixer of Jever a week or so ago and grabbed it out of a sealed case. You'd never know the color of the bottle in that respect. It's tougher to do with 750ml bottles, but I was under the impression that Dupont had moved to brown bottles lately (at least, the 2015 Double Dry Hopped bottles are brown).

All of the New Glarus fruits are fantastic, also most of the Mikkeller Spontan lambics that I've had have been quite tasty.

I found Pilsner Urquell to be the same in brown and green bottles. I could detect no difference. I used to love Tsingtao.
