We are not open on Sunday for bottle sales. Still waiting for labels to arrive. Crossing our fingers for a Friday run.

All of this is pleasing to me.

 

Label company had a malfunction while running the Oro labels. The can't reprint till Friday. So no bottles this weekend. Middle of next week is likely.

Nice article here in case anyone missed it. @beace, is the expansion going to allow you to mainly increase production on the core lineup, or can we expect to see some new cans? (please say Waka Waka, say Waka Waka...)

 

Are we still freaking out? This thread keeps getting bumped and I keep thinking it will be something exciting!

 

Really bummed this got pushed back. Although I understand. My wife and I are still keeping our plans of coming to Athens this weekend and looking forward to it!!

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a fellow BA'er a favor and pick some bottles up once released. I would greatly appreciate it. I could bring a shipper, pay for the bottles upfront, and send a shipping label. Also I could bring a nice Thank You beer or 2 with me this weekend. Please shoot me a BM if you can help out. To those who have had the Oro, how is it tasting, and does anyone know the bottle count on this? I saw someone mention in a previous post how they thought that this would last weeks at the brewery. Having never been to Jackie O's and not knowing much about their releases, this really surprised me.

 

It hasn't been bottled yet, so nobody knows the bottle count. Brad mentioned earlier that it was a 1,200 gallon batch, but I don't know how many bottles that translates to. Assuming what's on tap now is the same batch going into bottles, it's tasting as good as ever. I've liked it every time I tried it. It's not as hot as the second batch, which I think was the one with ghost peppers.

I'd say with a 6 bottle limit, it should last a couple of weeks at least. A lot of that depends on how many people show up to buy it, but none of their 375s have sold out within days except for Sherry Oil.

 

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure what the conversion rate is either but it sounds like it's a lot of bottles. Looks like I'll have a few chances to try to make it out there before they are gone, which is good since I have a pretty busy schedule coming up in the next few weeks.

 

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that the release should consist of roughly 600 cases?
