Anyone whose been to a tap takeover at Row 34 know if they let you stand and drink or whether you have to have a table or seat at the bar?

That was fast. Tried All Green and Still Green before leaving. Pretty good beers.

So ready in, what, 3-4 weeks? Hop Jam is 4 weeks from now; would love it if Trillium brings this...

Quite overrated IMO. Good beers, nothing crazy. Nice event though.

I've had several of their beers and had the same thoughts. I do need to hit Row 34 at some point.

Golden Spelt was a sleeper. That was an awesome beer.

some of their beers are pretty excellent (e.g. hop showers). that said, the competition in NYC isn't exactly boston; peekskill and other half aren't really in the same league as trillium. if you try enough of their stuff though, you'll hit on some real big winners.

Golden Spelt was easily the best beer. I could drink a lot of it on a summer afternoon. The IPAs on tap for the event, while pretty decent, weren't in the same league as those brewed 100 feet away at Trillium.

Had the Hop Showers and Green Diamonds. Hop Showers was the better of the two imo. Would have had more as they are solid IPA's but Row 34 has such a great beer selection that I ended up only drinking the two. The winner of the night for me was Zwet.be from 3F, awesome porter. Runner up was Weizen Bam from Jolly Pumpkin. Great food, great beer, awesome night!

Does it really matter what the beer tastes like when all we want is Untappd badges?

Honestly I think it boils down to us being spoiled with Trillium. Other Half makes great IPA's (albeit a bit to heavy for my tastes) in a big city desperately lacking fresh hops (well there's Singlecut too). Which means, it's get a bit more hype than it likely deserves. I still like their beer though and it will be really interesting to see what them and Trillium have cooked up together.

yeah, NYC kind of sucks compared to new england. we have some really good beer here, but i'd take both the local breweries and the distribution of CT or MA or VT.

Yeah I'd say we are pretty spoiled up here. Although I always have a fun time buying/drinking beer down in NYC. Crooked Stave and Westbrook are pleasant souvenirs.
