I've had Sosus which is rated higher over a much larger pool and I hated it. Just the description of the OH beer is a turn off for me.

I actually preferred OH much better then Sosus. Sosus wasn't bad, but didn't impress me. So I can only assume that Dirt Wolf and Hop Ranch are not in your rotation either?

Not sure why Sosus gets the hype it does...I've had at least a half dozen Mosaic beers that are far superior...don't let Sosus be the end all be all for you because of the ratings it gets. In addition to the above mention OH beer, these are better examples as well:

    Yellow Rose
    Focal Banger
    Artaic
    Fort Point
    Pompeii

OH Mosaic is one of the best IPA's I have had, but I prefer Mosaic over maybe all other hops. I really want to try the BG pale.

It doesn't get much better than Focal Banger if you ask me. Top notch.

I don't recall ever having Hop Ranch. I do enjoy Dirt Wolf and while there is Mosaic in it it is not a Mosaic IPA.

I think I kinda agree...and I can't stand Alchemist hype...but that beer was fucking glorious

    Didn't like that one either.

The only heavy handed Mosaic beer that I've enjoyed was a homebrew by @greg4579 and his friend.

It was a pipe-dream mostly a product of excessive amounts of alcohol in conjunction with my disdain of PA's archaic liquor laws. Plus, few banks would be willing to lend a 25 year old that much money needed to open up a business of that size/magnitude. So I sobered up and realized that it wouldn't work at that point in my life.

Understandable. I was just curious if you actually had talked with anyone about it being "legal" or not.

Wicked Fox in O'hara is a case distributor in one room and Bottle shop/Restaurant in a separate room with it's own entrance.

Are the bottle shop prices comparable to GE prices?

    If you like
I did. Superb - in the same style as CPA. If you like Mosaic hops then this is for you. Already regretting that I only grabbed one 750 of this and considering how I'm going to get back to Braddock this weekend.

Meh, I never got the hype. And existential, pseudo-sci-fi is totally in my wheelhouse. I think maybe you have to be 12-16 years old the first time you watch it to really get into it.
    Oh, and beer beer beer.

If you ever need additional help with 17%+ abv beers, just holler. I don't live far.

I don't care if its a grocery chain getting my money or a bottle shop. Yeah Giant Eagle seems like a shitty company who underpays their employees by a wide margin but Giant eagle right now in my area has the best prices/selection by far so thats where I spend most of my beer money. I went to Atlas once and lasted about a minute before laughing histerically. They had singles of dogfish head 60 minute and 90 minute on warm shelfs displaying them like the good bottles are at Philly bottle shops. On top of that the prices were insane.

I feel like Giant Eagle being allowed to sell beer has been the best thing for the Pittsburgh beer scene in a long time.

Me too. Dig PKD books. Just finished Neal Stephenson's Seveneves, which was good. No beer in the story, but a tertiary character was critical of cider at several points later in the book.
