I saw the titular beer in such packaging on the shelves. I thought some would be very interested. Please delete if nothing new.

What?! This is fantastic news. What was the price point on a sixer?

$18 in NEPA. I picked up a sixer of it a few weeks back.

I thought it was $11, but with DarthVorador's post, it's possible the price I saw on the shelf was an incorrect old tag from a different W sixer.

I saw Coniston's Bluebird in 11 or 12 oz singles a month or two ago. Couldn't believe it. I thought it would be a safe bet, but unfortunately, the beer tasted like it saw much better days.

Perhaps it is $11 in New York. PA is notorious for jacking up the prices...for comparison, the same beer store has Weihenstephaner Original Premium sixers for $14 & change.

To me this translates into even more availability for me to add it into a mix-six rotation, so this is great news in my book.

I can't wait to see this in Indiana. I already practically buy a bottle or two almost every week!

I can't figure that out. Beer is cheaper in NY but hard liquor is way more expensive. I always stock up on "the good stuff" for my beer fridge when I cross the boarder.

10.99 a sixer around Chicago burbs. Rep told me about them about a month ago and they've been on my shelves since.

Man, this is such a great beer, I'd love to see it in sixers, it one of the gems in my store that I recommend to people, who always tell me they want to try something different

That is an unfortunate side effect of the situation that requires PA bottle shops to basically have much higher costs that bottle shops outside PA. Licenses are extremely expensive and the only way to get a license to sell bottled beer for take away is to also be operating both a bottle shop and an eatery in a location which allows for a minimum of 30 people to be consuming food and/or beer on the premises. Even then they can't sell more than 192 oz for take away at a time. The prices could generally be some lower if they didn't have to do both food service and a bottle shop at the same time.

Fuck yes! Now, if Weihenstaphener would put Korbinian in 6 packs, this would make my life complete. I haven't seen this in my neck of the woods in 6 packs as of yet, but if it is priced the same as the hefeweizen, then I am cool with that

    Tom,

IMO the real problem is that the regulations limit the number of licenses so the net result is limited competition. Each retailer feels like they can charge more and people will pay the higher prices. IMO if there was more competition there would be better pricing.

I know this is a bit of a chicken and the egg situation but…

    Cheers!

    Jack
