There is no responsibility if you don't want it. If you never posted comments to tell someone they were off, threadshit, be a jerk, or hype up your own beer, then there's no reason to do so given the chance. Don't care to post- don't.. no one is forcing anyone to comment. Which is good.

BM'ing people about their offers being off, means you care enough to send a helpful reply, or be a jerk. Generally most don't care enough to go that far, and the person who has the odd offer posted, gets no replies and moves on.

No I get that, and responsibility wasn't quite the right word.

I guess before let's say there were 100 threads. 50 of them had no comments, 40 had a helpful comment and 10 had a negative comment. Now instead 95 of them will have no comments and 5 will have helpful comments. Obviously I'm making these numbers up but directionally they're probably correct. I guess I'm not sure if one scenario is definitely better than the other. I don't pay much attention to the trade boards so maybe the 40/10 positive negative split was actually in the other direction, in which case this makes sense.

 

I don't have access to post either, pretty ridiculous. This is by far my favorite beer site but I can see how it can drive some people away. Too many rules and control is necessary but there is a line that can be crossed.

 

That being said, the trade boards are almost unusable these days due to people's unrealistic expectations and values of particular beer so who cares if we can't comment I guess.

I am not trustworthy either. I really disagree with this move. Guilty until proven innocent with no hints or indication what qualifies you. I'm never in the ISO forum but I still think this is a bad move.

 

I don't have priveldges either while an active trader i would not consider myself an active poster in iso:ft....

 

That will also depend on the number that have the privilege versus those that don't.

I'm also surprised to see a few people in here not be allowed to post. Makes me think a # of trades may be a requirement.

Edit: never mind didn't see Drew has 100+ trades. Damn Drew!

 

# of trades may be part of it, but it's not everything. @UcDru has 100+ without privileges but I saw someone post after the change with 77.

Criteria:

• Account must be valid (as in a confirmed email, not banned, etc)
• Account must be verified
• User must agree to the terms via the main Trading page
• User must have at least 250 (counted) posts
• User must be a member for at least 365 days
• User currently has no active warning points
• User has completed 25 or more trades via the feedback system
• User has 100% feedback

I don't have 250 posts.

 

There you go... cat out the bag. Easy to see why some don't get to post. Posting here doesn't count towards your total for the record.

Have you checked out the criteria? Not sure how this is a bad move. Especially if you never go in the ISO/ft or even post there?

 

I'm short the 25 trades. If I had tracked every #pickitupformebro and side trade, I'd probably be close. But I really don't care enough to bother.
