Labeling it "brewing advice" may be a misnomer, but agree that checking the pulse of an educated customer base is smart practice. There are a bunch of local and national brewers with varying levels of lurking/posting on here and I feel the good ones are able to filter out the white noise of unconstructive criticism, while listening to the proletariat's opinion of matters trivial and otherwise. Whether it's possible batch infection or purchasing process or ugly t-shirts, etc. And knowing some are listening, I try to remind myself to not throw unfounded shade and risk upsetting someone who may be pouring my next pint.

Great post with the exception of the misuse of the word "shade." This in conjunction of the lunch you spoke of earlier is causing me to question the validity of your man card.

    Dude, quit throwing shade.

Today for lunch, I ate a veggie medley (with hot sauce).

I'm 95% sure it wasn't the brewer reading it, as they have specifically expressed their disdain for BA and other sites directly to me. I'm also not butthurt, my comment was more of a joke. I just think it's funny that a member or the brewer would be that upset about it, and would go to the lengths to bite the hand that feeds them.

I know a lot of people who talk shit on BA, but spend time on the site nonetheless...myself included.

EDIT: for the record, I'm not leaning one way or the other in speculating on your situation @Beerman6686 ...just saw an opportunity to mention that the above seems to be a fairly widespread phenomenon.

He's on the naughty list cause he didn't get himself that fancy schmancy "verified" tag on his account. What a rebel!

I'd better not be on any sort of naughty list...account verification is "optional".

On a side note, has anyone tried the wheat juice IPA that grist house put out a few weeks ago? Really nice stuff and was very juicy to the point I was surprised no fruit was used in it.

I should have wrote that I was only guessing and being an ass. It's absurd that I was even close to the admission price. Thank you for clarifying.

Doesn't giant eagle give back more to the local community than any of these shops ? Why feel guilty at all?

So to bring a piece of positivity to this thread I had East End's Green Giant tonight at Pizza Boy. By far their best beer without the name Gratitude in it and perhaps even better than both of those. Great IPA.
