I addressed that in another post, not a good example.

@augiecarton any chance you'd be willing to share what beers will be coming down the pipeline in the near future for us to look forward to?

we don't really plan that far out, we make beers that are turning us on day to day. in the nearest future we will make this years harvest when the hops come in, this year's wet is el dorado on the hold over dry from last year calypso, so that tradition will continue. this years not pumpkin pie beer is a dopple bock riff on an old diner side dish: acorn squash touched with molasses and died chili flake. past that it really depends on the truffle season and a whole bunch of other factors.

It seems like the only problem people have with Carton is that Carton can't meet the demand for there beers. I'm lucky because a small bar about a mile away always has 077xx on tap. A few others have had Boat and other Carton brews on tap. Never seen the cans in any of the stores I buy from. Good enough for me.

Can't speak to the brewery practices. But in terms of beer, I've only ever had Boat. And I enjoyed it. A little light, but has a nice taste.

They are trying, it's not a bad problem to have.

Hey there, Kane strays from the ordinary on occasion (e.g. Fall Saints: butternut squash, sweet potatoes...). I definitely see where you're coming from though, and absolutely love Augie's creativity and adventurous mind-set. Plan Bee reminds me of Carton in a way, in that they also improvise on creativity

I am a fan of Carton Brewing on many levels. I wish that I could get my hands on their beer but I recognize that the demand is bigger than their current production capability. I personally have my fingers crossed that their expansion occurs smoothly and expeditiously. In the interim I have to enjoy their beers vicariously through others.

    Cheers!

Hey it's a fine beer but it's just a regular pumpkin beer with sweet potatoes. Did you have it? It's a Starbucks Pumpkin Cappuccino spiced beer. And tons of other breweries did it the year before. Like I said, cool beer, but creative? Let's talk about Pumpkin Cream Ale, and Rav.

When was the last time you heard a brewer say that?

Had it awhile back...think October 2014? Glad you brought Rav, forgot about this guy; enjoyed it quite a bit

Nonetheless, would love to see Carton do a collab with Shorts brewing in MI. Perhaps crank out a funky fruit/vegetable beer with spruce tips

I want to see Augie do a Gose. Popular style right now and I remember saying this last year sometime. I think they could do something really interesting with the style.

On this point, @augiecarton is right. I was in Super BuyRite in Plainfield and the cashier wouldn't sell me Boat or O-Dub because she'd "never seen me before." Fair enough - I'm from Delaware, visiting family for the weekend. She's keeping the stock for her regular customers. So, if you have a local store that you frequent and develop that relationship, you will reap the benefits. I have done that with a few of my local stores - not that DE gets anything overly exciting...

True, but in north NJ it can be hard and very expensive to fix.

FWIW, I was in there in January and had no trouble getting 2 4pks of Boat. It was in the cold case that time. On Sunday, they had it behind the counter.
