How does this work at Crooked Stave? Online or in person sales? I will just so happen to be in town that day and I'm not familiar with this event at this venue. Any info you can share would be appreciated.

It's actually pretty lame and extremely expensive and incredibly long lines... just don't even.

It's an in-person event, no bottles are being sold for take home. $20 for a glass and two pours for whatever crap they bring for draft. More crappy bottles will be for sale for on-site consumption only. Some cheesy toast at 1PM with other crappy breweries around the world and some guy name Juan.

I'd advise you just to follow Crooked Staves Facebook page as they'll likely post more information a week or two leading up to the day, or you know, google it.

    Cheers.

I've heard that people start arriving at 6am for breakfast and a bottle share. Anyone know when crooked stave will open the doors? Apparently I have to be in Breckenridge at 2 for a wedding that same day.

It was either 11 or noon. You'll be cutting it close unless you mean the Breckenridge brewery in Littleton. Traffic is kind of a mess through Idaho Springs on a Saturday afternoon.

Let's get this straight - 6AM were the first people in line last year. The guy who got the last Zwanze pour got there hours later.

IMO the pre-game bottle share is the funnest part about the whole deal. As you said, you show up at a reasonable time in the morning and start cooking breakfast like you're tailgating a foozball game. Bring some fun stuff to share and get ready to have a chill ass time.

That's urban legend, fact is they've been struggling attendance wise the last few years and it was a rumor spread to try to 'hype' it up.

I heard it was so bad, they had to give it away and had some left over at 6PM

Yeah I don't think anyone is going this year. So lame.

Yeah. It's really not fun and very crowded. If you go, no need to get there before 9am.

If you want to throw a beer party across from the police station, be my guest. Seems like a horrible idea to me. Besides, by that point pumpkin beer season will be in full swing. Who needs anything else?

That reminds me, pumpkin beers should start arriving tomorrow. Just in time.

I'm only going to get rid of some of these shelf turds I have sitting around at the low-rent crappy "bottle share."

Even with all this overhype talk I'll be there. I'm gonna be in town anyway, and have never been to Zwanse Day, so why not.

I'll be in town 9/19 and would love to know some basic details as I can't find much from previous years at CS for Zwanze Day. I can obviously tell there's some trolling goin on in this thread, but am just lookin to have a good time, drink a little Zwanze then head out for Red Rocks about 11:30am. Is that possible or is Zwanze tapped at a certain time? I'm all good getting there early, just would like to know and share some tasty Michigan brews with some friendly BAs. Cheers!
