    Went to the Vintage release and loved it (Minus me forgetting my bottles to share with the generous folks that are NG Fans). Plan on going next Saturday and was reading through but didn't find what this upcoming release was. Sorry if Im repeating just trying to see what this release will be, thanks in advance

    Happy Friday everyone! We are happy to announce a very limited release of a new R&D brew, Diploma Master Brewer Dan Carey’s Bramble Berry Bourbon Barrel. Bramble Berry Bourbon Barrel is a spontaneously fermented Wild Brown Ale from our Wild Fruit Cave. Expect a bright blend of forest fruit backed Oaky barrel notes. Great for aging or drinking today!
    Bramble Berry Bourbon Barrel will be released at the New Glarus Brewing Company Hilltop facility on Thursday, August 6; Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8th.
    The two bottle per person per day limit will be enforced. This is a limited release with bottles available each day. Sales will begin no later than 9:00 a.m. Each bottle costs $10.00 (includes tax). Cash is welcomed, but not required.
    There will be one more R&D release on October 8-10. The October R&D beer style will be announced prior to that release date.

    Was planning on attending, but my wife's due date got pushed up a couple of weeks. First R&D release I've missed since Gueuze and BB Kriek in 2010.

    If anyone's looking for a last minute baby gift... :wink:

    Pretty much impossible to guess. They have never done a Thursday Great Taste release before. Depends on how many people show up. Might sell out or not. The last 2 brewery only Thursday releases did not sell out. Anyone who showed up got their allottment. GTOMW weekend is a whole other ball of wax, I would assume. Also, being a BA fruited NG release I would guess there will be more demand. Sorry for lack of useful information.

    Hmm, didn't know that--was under the impression all R&D releases prior to this year were Friday-Sunday.

    That is news to me as well. How long did that one last on a Thursday? That might be @budanoo 's best predictor.

    That one will be tough to compare...especially since if was only a few hundred bottles

    I believe vsb was more than a few hundred bottles, maybe a few hundred each day. IIRC vsb didnt sell out until like sunday or monday (after the official release days). But these releases are way busier after that vsb release.
