Just remember to vote for Spiced Ale and Winter Warmer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Was 'Sour Fruit' a write in?

To create demand. They'll bring it back next year and we'll all go crazy for it.

Am I the only person who really liked both winter warmer and spiced ale

Judging by the current supply at some local bottle shops, yes.

I know it says Winter Warmer is a Scoth Ale, but I think they can do better than that.

Need I say that it is a no brainier to vote for sour fruit again?

I didn't vote for it not because I don't want to see it but because I feel like they use the beer vote more to determine their seasonal rotation than R&D type beers. Also I'm fairly confident Dan and Deb already know there's huge demand for their fruited sours

Of course I agree with the latter half of your statement, but you really think that to stir up the demand would be the reason for cutting it out this year?? Seems like an odd strategy given they would still sell out of it regardless... Right?

*cracks a sour beer because that's still how I feel about this news*

I also heard that they had limited space for wheat beers, so there has to be some give and take with those styles.

I kind of like the rotation though. Seeing something new every now and then is nice.

There's a separate fermentation room for wheat beers. It's clearly marked at the brewery.

Then why put it on there?

I basically voted for all the past R&D beers on there.

It's important to realize that they aren't going to put a R&D beer in Thumbprints if it's not going to make them money. A major purpose of the R&D series is to allow Dan to brew what he wants regardless of monetary constraints; it would follow that making it a more wide-spread release means it needs to pass the budgetary test. Maybe I'm stretching things and falsely attributing a particular way of thinking, or I could be confusing this with Thumbprints, but that's how I envision their business plan here.

Anybody familiar with what the next Thumbrint(s) are shaping up to be? August is coming up quick.

The lack of information on this makes me wonder if disappointment is eminent.

I tried putting the feelers out, but no bites. I've heard it could be some kind of fruit, or maybe it's the BA Kriek, but who really knows? Hoping for the best.

It is TBD, so they are keeping it a surprise. Probably something lame like Blueberry Wild Sour Ale...
