I've had a boatload of great IPA's in my day, Todd is as good or better as any I've had.

As a bonafied non-fanboy (because surly irritates me quite frequently) I'm still curious about said list.

This is my second favorite pale ale, and I like to think I have had a few. Only Pale Ale I like more would be the Decorah Sue. Still waiting on these damn cans to get to Chicago, ugh....

I, for one, want to see this list just so I can find something to hold me over for a week or however long its going to be.

seriously. it was hyperbole. i didn't literally have a list, nor do i plan on making one.

my original point still stands, though. it was good, but i certainly didn't find it to be a piece of fish good enough for jehovah, and here i'm getting stoned anyway.

I can think of a dozen iPas id rather have then Todd the axe man.
    Trillium Congress St
    Trillium fort point
    Trillium DDH FP
    Trillium Galaxy DH FP
    TH julius
    TH haze
    TH green
    TH lights on
    The Alchemist Focal Banger
    Maine brewing co. Dinner
    Noble ale tongue tickles
    Hill farmstead Edward
    Hill farmstead conduct of life
    TGB pseudo sue
I know not all of these are just iPas (some pale ale).
That being said Todd is an amazing ipa. But to say it's the best is over hyping.

I think there's one thing that we can all agree on, and it's that there are many beers that taste very good.

This is a list of very good IPA/PAs, no doubt... I have had many of these and I think even you have to admit it's splitting hairs a bit at this point and mostly comes down to personal flavor preference. For example: Maine Dinner, to me, wasn't a favorite. In the end though I do agree with you saying it's "the best" is impossible, there is no "best" ipa in my opinion.

That is a very solid list of IPA/Pales...but besides Sue, you can't get any of those around here.

Having said that, Axeman is one of the best IPA/Pales in the Midwest...easily.

And until recently, getting Sue was a bit of a gong show for those of us not in a few select areas in Iowa/Wisconsin.

Men's palates are like women's emotions.. changing by the hour. Trying actually rank IPA's will turn into a convoluted map rather than a list. We all should agree there are dozens of good IPA's, all outstanding, all worthy of praise.

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here. I'm just replying to the multiple posts that said "name 12 other IPA's that are as good", "I'm awaiting this list".
