Noble Ale thread. . .anything Noble related

El Cerrito still had some yesterday (though I wouldn't exactly say that's near Noble).

 

Ha ha. I am considering it as they had a bunch of other great stuff on the shelf too, but that's an hour round trip for me.

 

Do I have to buy $75 worth of other beer to buy it?

 

Citra Showers on tap & bottled at the tasting room starting at 4:00 today.

 

Drinking now, another outstanding batch !

Anyone know if this batch of Citra Showers is getting distro or is it a brewery only release?

 

Its getting the usual distro via Artisan Ales. They made a boat load, the limit today when I dropped in was a case.Should be on shelves soon.

Missed that, but was quite amused when a hose from one tank blew water all over the folks waiting in line inside the pub ! I was in and out in 10 minutes, 4:10-4:20, one thing I love about Noble, they are great in getting folks in and out quick, great customer service and great folks period.

Anyone know if they open early for weekday day games? I am ducking out of work for a 'Buisnessman Special' this Wed and am really hoping they are open for pregame. Some showers would really round out the skipping work/mid-day ballgame.

Ready for a bold statement?

Just had noble ale works citra side by side with focal banger. citra is the winner.

 

Nice, I was hoping to hear that this batch held up. Heading there tomorrow to grab a bunch... hopefully before the Angel game at noon if they open early.

I was sent a very kind NE-IPA box several months ago from a friend and the only things I thought could contend were Focal Banger and Green. To me Green was the best but it is sort of a different beast however that is saying something when stacked against those two, HT, SoS, Green Diamonds, 2nd fiddle, Tribute & Zombie Dust/etc.

 

To be fair, if you ask anyone I'll usually lean towards east coast IPAs because I dig the murky tropical fruit goodness. Don't get me wrong, focal banger is phenomenal and the smell beats out citra alone. But the sweetness grapefruit orange flavor that citra showers exerts is just amazing. Might be my favorite IPA behind Haze

 

I was so underwhelmed by Focal. But I'm the opposite. I lean towards West Coast IPAs.

 

I loved it but I can see how the hype for the beer doesn't meet the taste. Pretty much as its described as a lighter heady topper. @Original_Fake

 

Yeah that's fair. Just wasn't my favorite.

 

Anyone know the growler policy for Noble? For those of you that didn't see their IG, tomorrow for national IPA day they will have growler fills of all 200 IPA's they make! They are always releasing a fresh batch of I Love It.

 

Its a very good batch, having had FB your statement isn't surprising.
