Bottle Logic's Fundamental Observation

Don't get me wrong, I bought my share of Darkstar and Ideation. I'm not big on their IPA (while I still think they are pretty good), the main issue for me is that they straight out lied to me a few weeks ago, causing me to compulsively look for their IG updates (yeah, I know, it's just beer etc.), while they just decided to randomly put a bottle or two on the shelves and then doing this. It's just a business model that does not work for me. If it works for anyone else, then fine, I'm ok with that. Luckily there are other stores in the area I'd much rather support (La Bodega, even Gerrards)

Hey j47paco, sorry. The shop was El Cerrito. I got the last one so that's why I didn't post the location in case others tried calling or going there. Dully noted for next time though.

I agree mostly about their IPAs, but Occularity is really good.

The buy x to get y bothers my in most cases as well. But I understand the need here too. He didn't want someone to come in there with 11 friends and buy a case. He wants to spread it around. Jazz is always great about this and this is the ONLY time I've ever seen X to get Y there. He sets limits so people don't hoard and is a great dude. As far as lying to whoever up there, the dude has been out of town for most of the last 3 weeks.

 

Buy x to get y is pretty much the fastest way to get me to never buy from you.

This whole FO shitstorm has been hilarious. Its hard to remember a release that has gone so bad over such a long period of time.

 

Wow. That is just sad.

 

When you're next to your computer the whole 8-9h it's not that hard to do, as you would think. Although it still ended up being a waste of time.

 

Exactly . . . if every one here who checks beer sites every hour is "sad," then BA is basically a community of depressives.

There's an option on IG where you can request an alert once someone you are following posts something. That way you're not constantly having to monitor it for stuff like this.

Yup, aware of that Still, my personal phone is usually on mute the whole day, so it's actually easier to refresh the browser. I wish there was an option to add an email alert. Hahaha...Nah, on the second thought I don't want my life taken over that much.
