Agreed. Full Pint and Hopfarm are in walking distant of Roundabout as well. I'm not big on Hopfarm, but others are.

Next time you're gonna be in my area, hit me a day or so before hand. I'll bring you a little to try.

    oh cool.
Of the batch 2? I had a bottle of batch one. It was good, but I just don't think it's aby different or better than the other 2 to trade that much. I was lucky someone got me batch 1 at cost.

I'll bring you some Blis if you haven't had it yet. We could just rock a blind tasting with voodoo too

Yeah batch 2. I didn't pick up any Blis when I went to Founders and I'm regretting it. Also need to get my hands on the Dark Horse syrup.

The wifey just ordered some Blis online. Got the hot and soy too. The hot is really good. I'm crushing it. Didn't try the soy yet.

I'll let you know. I need more cookie butter at trader joes so I'll be down that direction sometime sooner than later. Wife needs to make some voodoo cupcakes soon and the cookie butter ones were requested

Yeah the Blis hot sauce is really good, very unique. I wonder if Wigle or Maggie's or anywhere else has plans to make hot sauce. Or do anything else interesting with their barrels.

Or maybe voodoo could make some and then put a Grand Negro in there for a new shitty variant on a shitty stout.

That would be cool. Yeah I agree it's like a perfect blend of spices and nice heat. I'm afraid I'm going to need to order a ton more

I think the wife got me the soy so I can relive drinking ba dark lord. Har Har Har

I was at founders a couple weeks ago and tried the all day ipa that was aged in blis barrels (and maybe something else?). Holy fuck was that the worst beer I've had in a good long while.

Yeah I saw that on Instagram or something and thought it was a joke. Thought the same thing when I first saw Uberon.

As I was drinking it, I couldn't think of any reason the beer existed other than for founders to troll their customers. I was looking around for hidden cameras and shit.

One more question: what's the policy on bringing a "rare" bottle in to open and share with the staff? I have done this at FLA and OH breweries and it hasn't been an issue and in fact was much appreciated by the staff on duty. Thanks again.

Yeah I bring stuff in to drink with the people at Roundabout all the time. The only thing is that they've been getting increasingly busy, it's a very small space, and it's usually just Steve and Dyana there most of the time. If you go, hit me up and I'll bring something over there too.

I got a box from a partner in NH the night I stopped at The Brew Gentleman for the first time. I cracked a bottle of Arthur with one of the owners and @Robert_Baratheon. I don't think anyone would reject it if there is no ulterior motive.

    EDIT: Oh and ask first.

Coming to Pittsburgh next weekend. Staying by PNC Park. Only beer shopping time will be Saturday afternoon. Any recommendations on stores. I'm not familiar with the distort there. Would like to find some Fat Heads if possible.

I'm pretty sure you can get Blis at Williams-Sonoma... I think I remember seeing it there. But don't quote me on it.

I feel like if one plays their cards right, enough inhibitions will be lowered at brewery A, that one will thus see brewery B,C,D,etc.

Does anything else show face round these parts?
Secondly, how much anything finds its way?
I feel like this board alone could buy out the local supply in just a few minutes.

Head Hunter is literally everywhere. Very easy to find fresh too.

I recall it being like $30. And only like 12 ounces.. pretty expensive for syrup in my opinion.

Giant Eagle Shadyside is about five miles away, though there will be some traffic. As noted, you'll find Fat Heads most everywhere. You'll not be very far from the bar itself, but nearly any beer in their upstairs sixpack shop can be had elsewhere, unless they get a surprise shipment of something straight from the brewery.

Depending on what part of NY/the route you're taking, there also House of 1000 Beers, off Route 28 in New Kensington. But this will only be worth it if it's directly on your way.
