Yep, that's quickly become one of my favorite local IPA's.

The rye aspect is what is winning me over. I really like Surlyfest and this would do just fine as a substitute until that one getes released in the fall.

I noticed a patch of dying grass tonight and lifted a couple of areas to make sure it wasn't grubs, it wasn't, and started watering and aerating when I noticed the ground abnormally hard and dried up. I started with a Nooner afterward, and now on to some PINEDROPS. It has not been a fun week, folks, so tomorrow evening can't arrive fast enough![IMG]

I personally think it's awesome . . . the new size is perfect for splitting a bottle, and (I think) more people will be able to have access to individual bottles.

Occupational hazard. I'm a network engineer and IT consultant. I have to use it so I can support it.
Edit: Full disclosure, I'm running it in a VM. There's no way I would commit to an upgrade on my main workstation.

Bell's Two Hearted...I've had this on draft a few times and I have not been impressed. Decided to give it one more shot and out of a can it is a lot better. Those kegs must have not been good or this is just flat out better canned...for some reason

Decided to take the Spin chill for a......spin...........

Didn't have the most ideal setup but after a couple minutes of spinning in a cup filled with not much ice and water, the beer went from room temperature in my living room to completely acceptable for consumption. Will do a better test next time!! Time for my first Pinedrops IPA!

Sixpoint Bengali heading for the hot tub to check out this Blue Moon. On a positive note, the AT &T premises guy came out, changed out my modem & rewired my telephone J box ( no charge ) & generally impressed me despite the fact he is a Denver Broncos fan. Nice not to have my internet crashing dozens of times a day...

    Finishers:

My go-to altbier. Caramel, toast, toffee, nutty, biscuity malts; with balanced herbal/earthy hop flavors; and restrained plum/apple yeast fruitiness. Light-moderate balancing earthy bitterness on the finish. Completely delicious and spot on to style.

One of my top favorite gose of the year. Flavors of big tart cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice fruity/acidic tart finish with balanced cherry and fruity yeast complexity; with balanced salinity and acidity in the mouthfeel as well. Big robust flavors for the ABV. Very drinkable. Anderson Valley is my go-to gose, but this would replace it if it wasn't seasonal. I am going to stock up hardcore next year. Just glad I was able to find 2 more 4 packs late in the season. The DESTIHL gose was my ultimate winner of the year, so I hope they send some up here soon. I haven't seen any of the sour series in MI yet.

Always excellent pale ale. Bright grapefruit, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and piney hop flavors; with some moderate cracker/bread malt balance and crisp/sticky hop finish. Need to finish off this 4 pack and then move onto finishing my hopstache next. Glad this was put into year round production.

Incredible batch this year as usual. Huge bright hops of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon peel, pineapple, mango, citrus rind, and pine; with light honey/bready malt presence. Nice sticky/resinous mouthfeel and finish; with good malt balance to sticky bitterness with light overall malt presence in flavors; no astringency. Unlike my go-to Centennial, this is all about nothing but hop flavor with just enough malts to provide some balance. Always amazing.

It's sad that I can only get this in trades, but I really like this beer. Good People Bearded Lady.
