You didn't see the Cantillon?! Or what appears to be red & blue jell-o shots? ISO.

Last Saturday afternoon they had Haze, Green, Eureka w/ Citra, Curiosity 20 and TWSS on tap and the wait was like 15 minutes.

The new normal for Thursdays. There are definitely times (late on Fridays and Saturdays) when you can have minimal waiting time.

If you are on West Campus, Ruby's is a must go. The university in on the east side of the street and a great deal of the student off campus housing on the West side (the right side of the street). It's been around forever, catering to students and the Austin Music scene. The photos on the wall are worth the trip, with many of the greats. Open late and remember, there is no such thing as 'kidney' beans. Only Northerners use kidney beans in their chili. The correct bean is of course the "pinto" bean.

They serve on plastic trays covered with a sheet a wax paper. This place is epic.

I really liked their Chili. A guy across the hall knocked on my door (West Campus Apartment Complex) on my move in day. After realizing I was a Yankee who had never been to the South, he gave me a quick tour of the surrounding West Campus (he was a lifelong Austin Resident) with the final stop a Ruby's. He bought me a Chili. There was the plastic tray covered with a thick sheet of waxpaper. A bowl of Chili, a bowl of Pinto Beans, about ten saltine crackers, and a small pile of raw onion. You mix everything into the Chili and eat. The Chili is NOT cooked with the Pinto Beans BTW. It was sublime

Hey man. I didn't say I was forced. I have a long drive, I passed on this one. No big. The limits need to be higher for me to justify the trip. I'm not mad at TH, I understand they are trying to please the masses and not me individually. No worries.

I dont think that post was for you...it was directed at this if I recall correctly

"It should be 12 with this many cases...enough for over 900 people. It's frustrating to drive 90 minutes round trip for 6 beers."

I'll be up there in August on a Saturday. Historically with can releases, is the only way to get some on a Saturday to be in the first 20 - 30 people on line?

Nope. It really depends what they have/how many to start the day. Got there around 2 a couple weeks ago, no line. Walked out with 12 eureka and 8 TWSS. Two of my favorite treehouse beers to be honest

Nice - I'm assuming if something like Green/Haze/Julius has been canned the availability is thinner as it gets towards Saturday. I'm exciting to try anything from them - it'll be my first time having their beer.

As others have said it depends on the quantity initially available, etc. I was there a couple months ago 90 minutes after open and there were plenty of Haze cans left. That was a Friday canning though. Good luck!

I'll say I was there Thursday and was thoroughly impressed with the way the crew handled business. Cool people there and this Louisiana boy will definitely plan another trip there in the future. Only downside was that Green kicked one person ahead of me.

Hi - I'm planning to get to Tree House around 1.30-2pm tomorrow; based on your experience, how long approx will my wait time be?

    Thanks
