I wonder if I am alone in this: I find it pretty damn expensive. I understand that everyone's discretionary cash is different, and I don't judge those who can afford the best in life, just as I try not to judge those who drink swill because it's cheap (yeah, like I really do that). And I also understand that $4/pint stacks up well against most anything in a bomber. But it's a lot of money for a 4-pint format, and if I'm going to pay Abrasive money, I want Abrasive ABV. Same deal with the 1349 Pale - I just couldn't justify paying that much for a ~6% pale ale. You should get a happy ending with that.
As I type this, the overwhelming thought is I'm just a tarted-up version of the Natty Ice drinker who just wants to get smashed at the lowest cost. And maybe that's exactly who I am.
    Anybody else?

Uhm, obviously I did... and I did look through the trade boards and it was relatively light on the ISO and heavy on FT. I bought some for myself to drink, I am not going to buy a bunch in the hopes to trade them, but maybe other people have other trading avenues.. Do have an issue with asking a simple question?

I bet these things you have posted here in the last 12 hours sounded funnier in your head, huh? Fail

Maximum, his question wasn't completely off topic for this thread. Not worthy of such a response from you. Something else must be bothering you... Tell us - what's really going on?

It's Maxi's way or the highway, Helgy.

For future reference - before posting here, you need to check with the master first for approval...lest you face his wrath.

MN folks - visiting this weekend and staying in Mound area. Will there be any issue grabbing a few 4 packs of this nearby? Appreciate any info (and ideas on good beer stores in that area). Thanks.

I just assumed that the issue here would more be that a minimum order for cans is pretty large. I think it's like 200,000 cans, which seems like it would be a pretty big one-off release, most of the time. Maybe I'm Dr. Eviling this though, and that isn't all that much.

This thread is veering dangerously towards TG total derailment territory (for multiple reasons). Let's all drink our damn Todd and be merry!

TtAM is a premium beer that has expensive ingredients. While I won't buy cases of it I will buy 1-2 four packs. Saga is always available to get your fix of hops for cheap.

I make it a point to never hug people ironically. My hugs are always serious. And spectacular.

Harbor Wine and Spirits in Mound usually gets all the Surly releases so I would expect to find it there. They probably have the best overall selection in the immediate area. MGM on 101 & 7 and Haskell's Chanhassen are not too far and have a really nice variety. Wayzata Municipal and Lakeside Wine and Spirits in Long Lake are closer to Mound but not as good of a selection as MGM or Haskell's.

I've got the 7/21 canning. Flavor is on point but the carb is off. Disappointing given the cost

I guess if I were more civilized, I'd have put it like this: I can have a pretty good night on two* Abrasives. After two* Todds, I'm probably not done. So, from that perspective, drinking Abrasive is actually cheaper than Todd. Same with Wet - I'll buy a 4-pack no matter what, just to see what it's like, but the cost keeps me from living on it like I try to do with Abrasive all winter long. And I get that Todd and Wet are every bit as expensive to produce as Abrasive, and that they have to be priced where they are to make any money. And I understand that ABV isn't everything to everyone, and I'm not (NOT!) telling anybody they're nuts for however many 4-packs of Todd they wish to consume. It's your money. I was just wondering if I'm a total outcast in that type of reasoning. So far, the crickets have spoken (and also Spewlander, but I'm not sure if he was siding with me, you, or somebody else).

    * Estimates. May or may not be accurate, as I never remember how many I've had.

EDIT: Just want to emphasize that this is a DELICIOUS beer. Todd, that is. Also Abrasive. And sometimes Wet. But definitely Todd.
    And Abrasive.
