At Brew Gentleman right now drinking a MOMO. I'm not sure if I'd say it's better than CPA but it's damn close. Definitely prettier. Better than Akamai I think.

Its the colloquial version of "grandmother" in Irish Gaelic.

It sure is if you like your ipa to be severely lacking in nose, body, and any discernable character. Total snoozefest.

Alright Pittsburgh, a big thanks to everyone for input and ideas for craft brew. Phil was an awesome BA and hooked me up with some PA goodies. Rachael and Greg provided some Pittsburgh hospitality with a ride back downtown. Looking forward to a return trip and Go Pirates!

Opened ta luego tonight. Not good.

No nose or much taste going on at all. Maybe reminded me of a porter to be honest. Other than a very very late mild wave of heat (almost a taste rather than a feel, if that makes sense), I'd never guess that thing was 17%. As a matter of fact, I still might put some money down that it isn't. Lastly, I definitely got that old familiar slick buttery taste/mouthfeel...but I'll stop short on speculating what that might be...

I couldn't finish the bottle. Opened a #boc afterward and its twice the beer ta Luego is. Even coming in at a third of the abv with a thinner mouthfeel. :stuck_out_tongue:

BG - I know you'll read this and i don't wanna be one of those guys that comes in here and shits on a beer and gets called out for not being "constructive" so I'm happy to elaborate on the above. But something tells me you might not be all that upset considering this beer was the project of a former brewer. Either way...

    Can't like this enough.

What're everyone's thoughts on session beers and how american brewers classify them? Really interested.

Since you like it so much, perhaps you could explain it to me?

Went to Spoonwood last night, didn't make it over to Hitchhiker unfortunately. Boy someone sure did drop some major coin to get Spoonwood off the ground. Pizzas were good, beer was better than I expected but still nothing to write home about. Doesn't strike me as the type of place that's ever going to care about the cutting edge of craft, though. As long as they have asses in the seats, they'll keep on trucking and cashing the checks.

Thanks man, still a work in progress so only up from here.

Kewl! I know our IPA isn't as good as yours so it's okay.
