Correct across the board, specifically the final bits. If you'd like to come down to get an exchange or refund, you're more than welcome.

I haven't just speculation on my part because your IPA seems to be the only acceptable one ever made. I know you're a closet homebrewer but I would seriously like to try some. As I have stated repeatedly that beer is a work in progress like all others but by all means please continue to troll me. If you're in next time hit me up, I would legit like to get to know you and show you around / talk beer. I know you're nicer than your douchey persona here.

I got a nip of this as well, and it was scrum-diddly-umptious!

So giving reasons why I didn't like your beer and continually pointing out that any mentioning of my brewing is stupid by people who have never had it is trolling?

Typically when someone says something positive, you seem to have a negative comment about that beer. You don't often come out and say this beer is bad first. To me that is being a troll. I want to know your opinion, especially if you're a homebrewer. Beers are on me the next time you're in. I want to get better and to do so I need know more than three comments on BA board. This goes to anyone out there too, I want to be the best period.

I didnt bash on someone's comment, I just came right out and said I didn't like it and you still called me a troll....

You were describing butyric acid for a beer which did not have any. I would never serve a beer that did and you should have sent something that bad back. You also came out of the shadows to do so.

I want more information than a few words about something. I am not trying to get in a BA fight. I shouldn't even reply to these comments, the way I have is unprofessional. I am very sorry for doing so. I am just frustrated with curt feedback. I feel brewers deserve better, it's the only way the scene will get better. I just want something more constructive.

I don't live anywhere close to the breweries that are constantly mentioned in this thread so for me to comment on any beers first is highly unlikely to ever happen. I end up taking a few hours once a month at best to try some of the beers that have gotten some play here(typically something hoppy).

My three comments were direct and to the point. Your beer didn't smell like much of anything nor did it have any staying power. Once the beer left my palate it was just gone. No lingering bitterness or flavor stuck around.

Thank you and I agree, the lack of lingering bitterness is on purpose but the lack of aroma/flavor is obvisiouly not. Do you recall when you had it? We have brewed a lot of this beer and currently are on our 4th batch of it, agressively changing it each time. Brewed it twice in the past week so hopefully this will be resolved then, increased flame out and dry hop additions, scaled back Gypsum and pH because it seems to have the opposite effect right now. I hope you give it another shot and find it's improved.

What I find most interesting right now is that someone travelled from Butler to the South Hills. That is unheard of.

Just because I don't comment on every random topic that comes up on here doesn't mean I "came out of the shadows". I'll admit I don't know my exact words because the old thread got nuked, but I believe the product I did not like of yours described as tasting like burnt hair, not butyric acid. I think you are confusing that with the comment I made about the Roundabout Berliner, which was only in defense of someone shitting on Church's Berliner. Many people seem to have a built in hate for Church and write them off, although haven't had any of their beer in 3 years, but that's a different argument. The Roundabout comment was an exception, as that was one miss on a huge list of hits from them IMO. I'm not sure what type of constructive criticism you are looking for. Saying something tasted like burnt hair isn't my way of saying it "it tasted like shit", I actually mean it tasted like burnt hair, meaning it was probably highly phenolic. Other than being a QC taste tester, not sure what else I can do to help. Sugar coating feedback and trying to polish a turd won't help the scene get better. Only buying beer because it is quality and not simply because it is local is what will help the scene.

Let's see if Steve uses my next terrible idea - the CSA Gose. All the shit I didn't want/could use fast enough from my CSA box. This week would be a garlic scape, fennel, and corn gose.

That is if the Brew Gentlemen, Hitchhiker, or Voodoo don't use it first.
