    LIF Update:

    1) Wine, by FAR!

    2) Sure did. Brought home a single St. Lam!

    3) Fail. Couldn't get any of the damn Frenchies to respond to my email.

    4) Another fail. It was like 1:30PM by the time we cleared customs on England, and we had like 30 minutes before our flight.

    5) Melatonin ftw baby! Slept between 11 and 330 for a solid 4.5 hours!

And just got funsies, my tie breaker answers:

    1) Batch 1 Saison. Had it at the anniversary party and I might've peed a little.

    2) "Everything" is kind of a lame answer, so I'll go with the Hoodie's ability to ALWAYS appear down when I flip past their game (which obviously brings me happiness), and seemingly always disappoint.

Cheers! I hope to score answers and be in touch tomorrow...

More proof that no good deed goes unpunished around here. Reed @_RL_ mentioned here that he only needed one more Bomb variant to complete the set. I happened to have that variant and offered to send it to him. After some discussion we agreed to expand a little by sending each other a FEW wants. Well, this is his definition of a "FEW" wants. Damn Reed, you killed it. This box is tailored maid for me. (oh, and that Baptist bottle, lol.)

This past week (and hopefully the upcoming one) have been very Locals-intensive for me. After meeting @Littlelotte88 for beers last week, I got to drink with @dwmetsfan13 this weekend (and got a quick handshake from @mklisz as well). And I am optimistic that I will get to meet up with @rspauldi sometime this upcoming week! But besides drinking (and purchasing) beer in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine over the past 73 hours, I came home today to a box from Michigan as a result of winning @NJB145 's baby daughter celebration LIF. Besides the 6 beers, Nate including a nice note encouraging me to share at least one of these with my son (I'm pretty sure I know which one he's gonna pick).

    And as for the pRon...

Both growlers either leaked a tiny bit or more likely got wet when originally sealed (because they seem to closed tightly), so both soggy growler tags were a little difficult to decipher -- I think I figured them out though...

One Well Brewing Sweet Water Street - this one's a Porter that apparently involves DONUTS AND COFFEE!!!?? I actually opened a beer to drink while I was unpacking, or else I'd already be into this one -- it will happen in the few days though.

18th Street Brewery Hunter Coffee - you guys may recall I received a box of 18th Street stuff from @MCMASTERSANCHEZ via the horizontalhood. He included a couple of the Hunter variants, and I really liked both the cherry and coconut. So considering that neither of those is something I usually particularly favor, and that I love most coffee beers, I fully expect to be blown away by how much I will like this one. And I already have #pgw

Hideout Brewing Company Hazy Hemp Rye - like a few of the others in here, this seems to be a very new limited release with very few reviews. I normally like rye beers (one of the styles that got me interested in craft beer), so this should be good.

Cantillon Saint Lamvinus Lambic - I should really complain about this one, since it's obviously not a Local for Nate. But I guess I won't

New Holland Rye Hatter Rye - this one's a rye pale ale, and probably the only one I received with wide distro. As I said, I like rye beers. And I like pale ales. So I think it's pretty safe to assume I'll like this one.

One Well Brewing Kalaboration Nature Ale - I think this one was brewed in conjunction with Arcadia Ales -- other than the fact that it's a Pale Ale I don't know much about it.

But anyway -- thank you Nate for the box of deliciousness!

My 50 beers for 50 years celebration was absolutely sick. The turnout was smaller than expected because life gets in the way. Just a few random pics and lots of thanks to The Locals. I've been hoarding beer for 6 months.

Please check out the damage on untappd. I am beerorprozac. I didn't get to all the bottles I brought so a ninja box will be out soon. Special thanks to @HoppySeb @bevoduz and others I can't remember. The kill shot was lined up outside the hotel room because it wouldn't fit anywhere else. Cheers and I'm giving my liver a few nights off.

There are certain miles stones I covent. Receiving #datglass from @UcDru and getting the El gato (cat box) from @Clarkson. I can remember the 1st time I saw the El gato box with the cats on the outside and thought how cool that was. Well I have just repacked the box with a new cat photo taped to the outside as a ninja to some lucky local. Will ship tomorrow.

All right guys, I've been here nearly a year at this point so I figured it was about time that I run a LIF. Looking to spread some of the beer love and also motivate myself.

PG2G's 'Guess My Weight Loss' BIF

A couple of years ago I weighed 180 pounds and spent a crap load of money on clothing. Then I made a new friend, beer. Beer was a terrible influence, and over the past couple years my weight steadily increased to what it was this morning, 217.8 pounds. As a result, nothing I own (especially my denim :/) fits anymore. I've been making half-assed attempts at getting the weight down the last couple months. I'm good on the week days and terrible on the weekends, ends up evening out.

Anyway, I'll cut to the chase. I want you to guess what my weight will be one month from now (09/02), which also happens to be my birthday. Winner gets a six shipper of Cali goods. In order to push myself, I'm going to go ahead and offer up some tiered 'rewards'.

    As of 09/02
weight >= 217.8 (no weight loss, or weight gain) - One of the six bottles will be a Cable Car 2014
217.8 < weight <= 210.8 (loss of up to seven pounds) - One of the six bottles will be winners choice of Veritas 13/14/15
210.8 < weight <= 207.8 (loss of up to ten pounds) - One of the six bottles will be a 50/50 Cognac Masterpiece
207.8 < weight (loss of more than ten pounds) - Nothing special, but you can trust it'll still be a good box!

Please PM me (too lazy to keep track of posts in the thread) with your guess, down to the tenth of a pound. Closest guess wins, in the event of a tie I'll do a randomized drawing of some sort.

Closed to California Members. Open to anyone that has participated in a Locals BIF before, as well as our new members that have recently joined from the 12 Days of Summer.

Two boxes will be dropped off for locals in the morning. One is a reciprocating LIF box, the other is the sixterhood.

Sixterhood hint -- shipping to someone who I have never "shipped to" before, but who HAS received beer from me

    .
I'm wishing you well on this. I can relate to the steady increase in weight since getting addicted to craft beer. But unlike you, I am weak willed and I just go out and buy bigger clothes.

Even though I am still stinging from the experience of putting my positive faith in another Local that did a challenge recently (cough.... @vitaminvert ....cough), I going to stay positive and say 6.9 pounds.

    Good Luck!!!

    LIF update:

Current total of distinct beers is at 337. Looks like that eliminates around 11 participants...2 weeks to go!
