Woot stout in Grand Rapids

I still don't get it..... How the hell does Champanes only get 12 bottles (which sold out in 2 hours)... Yet 15 minutes down the road, holiday gets 4 cases? I would think Champanes does just as much buying / selling, if not more than holiday. It always seems like Macomb county gets screwed on these rare releases.

Oh and if anyone was still looking, as of Thursday at 12:00, 2 cases were available at holiday. Ended up picking up two bottles at $8.99 each. Good price

Decent chance. It was remarkably dead last night. I think more people were there for the Tigers game. With 8oz pours and no growler fills, it'll last awhile yet. Definately worth a phone call next week to find out, good luck!

I'm with the family in Bellaire this weekend. We stopped by the Bellaire Smokehouse to pick up some protein for dinner and they had four bottles of Woot. I only took one. They are located about a half mile north of Short's.

 

so pretty sure this just isn't happening for me. Finally showed up at my store in Lansing after the distributor hold / change up and was almost immediately posted as sold out.

struck out with this and a table saw on craigslist today. today is not my day.

 

You're not missing much man, it was extremely mediocre IMO

 

Saw loads of it sitting on shelves in both Vermont and Chicago in the past week (I've been traveling.) Weird how Michigan always gets shafted on stuff like this.

 

I think its just the distributors in the GR area. I don't know if they just don't care or don't go after the special releases, but unless its Founders or Bells we get short changed on special releases. I remember when Stone Xocoveza came out. A couple of the bigger bottle shops got a small allocation, while on the lake shore places had TONS of it.

 

It's not just GR, I'm in SE Mich. We don't even get the bonus Bell's/Founder's/Odd Side/etc. allocations.
