Glad to see that 730 am on saturday is a good time to arrive. I really didnt want to get up any earlier to drive from Chicago. Hope to see some ppl there. Should have a few bottles open!

Saturday will be the earliest day. I'm hoping that 730 will be early enough, but there's a chance it gets crazy since that is the GTMW day.

On the other two days, 730 is WAY more than enough.

Excited about this upcoming release this weekend. Hoping the GTMW doesn't make it too nuts at NG. Anyone have any recommendations on other things worth doing or eating in New Glarus while we're there? I know there is the state park there...

Also related: for anyone going to be at NG for this release on Friday, we have an extra reservation/ticket for the sold out hard hat tour. I put up a listing in Beer Tickets.

Eat at Glarner Stube. It's sorta pricey, but it's delicious. Traditional Swiss food.

On the other hand, the tap lists that are being offered many places on Friday evening are making the idea of getting up early Saturday morning way less attractive (or likely, pragmatically speaking). :grinning:

Another vote for Glarner Stube. Cheese curds are great.

Curious on the R&D stuff, how does it usually trade? I imagine it takes a pretty hefty haul to bring in one or two of them. I ask because I definitely would love to try them but there's no way of getting there for the sale and I really doubt my cellar is good enough to land a bottle of this one or the other R&D releases.

Varries between releases based on what beer it is, that being said this one should trade pretty high cause of the fruit element.

All depends on how this turns out. VSB and Wild Peach were amazing and take a bit to pull in. But other R&D's have not taken much to get. Just make sure you wait a couple weeks after the release for the typical BA hype train to die down.

mbockstruck30 summed it up well but you'll note the two that are tough to get are fruited beers, which is how it goes these days. The beer released this weekend will be fruited and I have a feeling this will be a tremendous beer (NG, duh!) and likely see levels of hard-to-get that VSB and WP achieved.

I completely agree. The only difference is that this one is BBA. Which may throw some people off. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of BBA fruited sours. However, I would expect NG to do it right. Or at least I'm hoping.
