MN Great Taste Attendees

    So, who's headed to the Great Taste this weekend? This will be our eighth or ninth year running (I drowned some of the brain cells storing that info) & I wouldn't miss it. Two years ago there appeared to be the biggest MN contingent I've seen at the Taste, last year it seemed quite a bit smaller.

    We don't have plans set in stone yet, but I may be at NG Friday or Saturday morning (pending the amount of alcohol we consume the night before) & definitely at the Brickhouse Friday evening.

    I'll be there! I may need some help from a fellow BAer to pick up 2 GT tickets on Friday morning at NG and give them to me (preferably Saturday morning at NG) - if anyone can assist send me message please!

    Bringing some great things to share as well.

    I'll be at NG on Friday morning but won't be attending the festivities on the weekend. Maybe I'll see you Friday Corey.

    We'll be at the Hampton...bringing zero beers. The pre-events are more than enough to threaten my attendance on Saturday, so I have no need to make it any worse. If you don't have anybody to pick up your tickets Saturday morning, let me know. Is your mild-mannered significant other coming along?

    Boo! But hey, New Glarus & Friday night are reason enough to drive across Wisconsin for me. We're going to try to get to NG early on Friday but my wife isn't exactly an early riser. I'll hit you up when we get close to see if you're still around.

    I assumed you guys were up to your usual antics...you know, twenty minutes of the event, seven hours of "tasting" at the local hotel...I didn't run into several people last year, & I have no idea why.

    EDIT: Unless, of course, those people saw me first...

    PSA for Twin Cities folks returning from Madison: Showboat Saloon in Wisconsin Dells has Cassia Sunset pints for $2.50 all day today. Black Gold also on tap; short pours, but also $2.50

    Damn! I drove through the dells on the way back to Mpls for nostalgia's sake, and drove straight by the showboat saloon. Had no idea I was driving by Black Gold! :slight_frown:

    I didn't hear a mention of Dangerous Man all day. But I mostly talked to Twin Cities folk who were more interested in trying out of state breweries, so take that for what it's worth.

    Would have loved to stop for Black Gold. But anyone who can drink today is a better man than I....had my fill for a few days yesterday!

    So many highlights! 4 Hands Madagascar, CW Cassia Sunset and Maple Bourbon Barrel Stout, O'so brought it, BA Dark Lord, GI Prop, Vanilla, 2-yr Barleywine...the list goes on. One of my favorites though, which thoroughly surprised me, was Tallgrass Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Buffalo Sweat with Cinnamon. It was incredible.
