What makes you like a WBAYDN post?

I have seen many things, in a lifetime alone

 

A golden retriever or yellow lab in pic gets instant like.

 

Sums it up for me, including the dogs.

 

How about that Buffalo Bills pint glass eh

 

In WBAYDN, I think of "likes" as virtual "cheers" - as @lambpasty said, it's like a clinking of glasses... I don't necessarily need to like your beer or music or pictures. Sometimes I go through the whole thread, sometimes I start from the page where I posted. Sometimes I skip posts without pics ...

 

I like liking likeable posts (of which there are many).

 

I don't visit the WBAYDN page very often, but when I do I like posts:
- If it's a beer I've had and enjoyed
- A beer that I've wanted to try, and has a brief summary with it
- A great scenic pic
- Any post with a pic of a dog

 

Quality of the photo
Any interesting background info about the beer
Rarity of said beer
Humor

 

A beer I like or one I want to try. Also if you're drinking a good beer while doing something cool

 

Oh yeah, and cute girls, arguably better than good beer

 

It's almost easier for me to list why I DON'T / WON'T give a like:
1.) I don't "like" the BA in general, based on their other posts or comments
2.) They're lying about their posts. Let's say it's an outside pic at the beach and it's 10:00 pm, but it's sunny.
3.) It's a picture of a bottle or can, and it isn't opened, but you're telling us it tastes fabulous.
4.) The beer pic is nice, but the musical selection is for shit or vice versa.

Of course these are more like guidelines than hard and fast rules.

My one, biggest criteria, (and sorry to the regulars), it has to be a beer I've had and liked. That's the spirit of the thread, to me.
My biggest exceptions....song!. Situation! Some kind of congrats. Great photo....I'm looking at you @pagesofphotographs . If they are "regulars," the slack is long. I don't need a pic, but it helps. I don't want to see what you drank the night before, or, an hour ago....not what the thread is about. I don't want to see pics of your tasting, or, the 15 or so cans and bottles lined up next to each other...nobody cares.

Basically, what my man @Greywulfken said...its a virtual cheers....I just want to see what makes you happy, proud, glad to end the workday, excitable, etc. whatever, enough to post that pic. I don't want to feel like I'm completely drinking alone, even though I wouldn't give a fuck either way, and I've got like-minded people like myself right in the same "room" as me.

I try to return a like, but not always do, it's as if someone is cheering my glass, so I have to return and say cheers. In fact the brothers should customize it to say cheers, not like... it makes more sense.
Also anyone who is drinking the same beer as me at the same time is automatic like, that's serendipity right there!

 

Beer...either one I've had and like, or one I want to have.
Food...man the food some of you guys cook makes me jelous.
Any comments that give me a little laugh.

If I wish I was having what they are drinking.

 

I don't get picky about whether I like the beer, but it has to be beer and not spirits. I don't give likes for bottles with caps on (unopened). No stock photos.

Funny comments or thoughtful comments also get likes.

Almost wish I could like some posts twice as much as others if I like the tunes with it or if I can see that they have a skill for photography (which I do not).

 

I'd forgotten the sports aspect. I skipped liking someone the other weekend drinking an Old Style because they were a Cubs fan. I had to draw a line there.
