Fat Head's Sunshine Daydream is the only session IPA that I have really liked enough to purchase regularly and would drink all the time if locally available to me.

Spent this week with a case of it and agree 100%. Now lets put it in cans and drop the price $10 a case!

I tend to agree. It's simply a made-up term that they think is more marketable than pale ale. That being said All Day is an outstanding beer, whichever marketing angle they assign to it.

I searched, but no dedicated thread immediately showed up. Any links? Your thoughts? Why?

Drinking right now: Stone Go To IPA. Very tasty.

I'll nominate Firestone Walker's "Luponic Distortion" series. At less than 6 % ABV, it has way more flavor than many IPAs that market themselves as "sessionable" (there's that expression I hate again!) and yes, I'm looking at you All Day.

I'm never certain how many beers constitute a "session" but at 6.8%, I'd include Westbrook's IPA.

Galaxy Pale Ale from NEBCo or Hobo Life from Lord Hobo are my two favorites.

I liked Sierra Nevada's Nooner, but since it's retired I'd have to go with either Luponic Distortion or, at the outside, 60 Minute IPA. At 6% it might be right at the edge but I have a higher tolerance for alcohol and I don't drink too quickly.

If you haven't checked out Two Road's Lil' Heaven, I highly recommend it. Flavorful and definitely sessionable at 4.8%. To quote the can it really is "One helluva heavenly brew"

Some of you put to me shame sessioning 6% plus beers.

Central City Brewing Red Racer India Session Ale (4%)

It's a staple in my fridge (along with the full on Red Racer!). It's the best session beer out there
