That's too bad... Central Waters had an amazing list of beers.

It's also a joke that people bought 4 tickets right away at Dexter's and then 10 seconds later tried to flip them for $50 to people that waited a couple hours in line and got none.

Seems like the whole event is outpacing the bars. At HopCat and we ordered CBS along with groups on both sides of us. Bartenders rang us up. Then came back a half hour later and said they ran out.

Hearing now that KBS lasted 21 mins and CBS 10-12.

MD would have lasted longer at Dexter's if they would have not allowed two pours per person. Am sure it made it easier on Dexter's, but sucks to have missed out after high-tailing it from NG to arrive at 9:10 and miss it so narrowly and with so many others in line. Brickhouse was terrible. Was disappointed Cassia Sunset wasn't pouring.

It did start pouring shortly after opening. They had some carb issue. Fuck Brickhouse though, it was the worst.

This was 100% dexter's problem. There's no way the limit should have been 4 per person, people got shut out so hard on this it was just as bad as I thought it would be. That being said, there was plenty of other epic beer on tap that I didn't hear many complaints from those who got shut out. Overall a really solid event @ dexter's.

I agree, Dexter's was very solid besides the sr-71 ticketing. Really enjoyed the Mornin' Delight

And no one has even mentioned that Brickhouse tapped the Rye Black Gold and said it was the Maple Stout.

I had a great day all around. Arrived at New Glarus around 8:15 AM. Smooth as butter bottle release operation there. Picked up my bottles and drove directly to Dexter's. Obviously missed the SR-71 tickets, but was happy to get Mornin' Delight on tap. Enjoyed that on the back patio, along with a Pseudo-Sue during the intermission. Waited in line for the 11 AM open and got a full pour of King Sue and Mornin Latte. Took a break during the afternoon and headed back out to Brick House for the Central Waters event. Agreed it was crowded, but I didn't have any issues waiting in line to get my pour of Black Gold. Ended up meeting some great folks in line who shared Maple Bourbon and Rye that I missed.

The only thing I had issues with was the 4-tickets per person at Dexter's. I don't understand why they wouldn't do a 1-ticket per limit to allow more people to try SR-71. I also agree that they could've done 1-pour of Mornin' Delight per person vs. 2-pours as it would've allowed more people to get a chance to try it.

Looking forward to the GTMW tomorrow!

Anyone else surpised that Clark from toppling Goliath wasn't trying to sign autographs during the SR-71 ticket sales/MD Tapping?

Is this a willful troll job? If so, I kind of respect it.

They were so woefully unprepared, it should actually embarrass CW. For a place that has some experience as far as great taste eve goes, the service was shameful.

Serious question, because I do not know... does CW have any say over how many employee's Brickhouse has working at the event or how they run it? From what I saw at Dexter's during the Toppling event it was run by Dexter employee's and the TG staff was relaxing and having some beers like any other customer.

Apologies to anyone who had a less than ideal time at our event tonight. It was by far the busiest the event has ever been, and there were some issues (not enough staff, tapping issues, etc) that were 100% out of our control.

Yeah. This year's preparties were just a shitshow all around. So many people..

Got to try the Black Gold last night though.. Damn that was tasty. There was a gal who gave me a sample of some maple syrup that i put into the last sip of my beer and... Maple Black Gold should be a thing if it isn't..

I think that is right. I wasn't trying to say CW was responsible for any of it, but that if they had been there (like TG ee's at Dexter's), it would have almost reached the level of embarrassment to see how things were run.

And I get that there are hiccups when you get slammed with people at an event like this, but this was different. When we noticed people starting to arrive in greater numbers around 4:30 and were just congregating because no hostess was available, our waitress told us that "a lot of staff aren't scheduled until 5."

I for one don't think any apologies are needed from your end. You guys "did your job" and supplied some amazing, kick-ass beers. I'm not sure I even have too much animosity toward BrickHouse, at least not toward those that were there working their butts off. I'd imagine that event could have been run a bit better; no doubt it didn't seem overly efficient. But the main aspect is just how many goddamn people are attending these things and making them the cluster they are. I'm not sure how to fix that!

Also, Black Gold was awesome awesome awesome.
