I have a Keg of Bulleit BA Ten Fidy. I found a brewery that will put it in bombers. So I was thinking Bottle 10-12 22oz Bottles for trading and give to friends and then keep the rest in the keg for my tap at home. I see people trading growlers all of the time.

Are there any boundaries being crossed here? They aren't being sold so I don't see any issue with it. I dont really feel comfortable trading growlers of the keg. Shipping and how long the beer will last etc.

    Any info would be helpful

    Thanks

If I was you, anyone you trade with should be pointed to this thread. I'd also take pictures if possible of them bottling it. Someone getting an unlabeled bottle of beer may be a little skeptical of its contents based on some previous nefarious actions of others.

I would be very curious to know how you came by this particular keg as well if it were to be involved in a trade.

I would assume "do not use" is for the underlings and the OP is the boss/ buyer for a bar, restaurant, or bottle shop.

I've had bootleg bottled Vanilla Rye, but I didn't trade for it, was more of an extra....

It says do not use because it was being held for me.

The Keg is 100% legit. As am I. I dont mess around. The best part about this is, worst case scenario I have a keg of amazing beer that I can have fresh off the Tap for a decent amount of time. I don't really care If I trade it or not. People have offered me bottles for growlers and figured it would be safer to have it in sealed bottle than to fill a growler.

Whenever you get the bottles to trade, shoot me a holla. I loved this beer.

I think that you didnt trade for it is the important thing to note. I can hand bottle too from my equipment but I wouldn't trade the bottles away. Fact a brewery is doing the bottling really wouldn't matter to me.

I think bottles of Oskar Blues beer would be very skeptical since they can all of their beers, but this is an unusual situation.

Not at all, I am only curious as to the origins of the keg given the nature of the beer it contains.
