Does anyone know if @Dave_Treat is out of town or something? I sent him a box that was delivered Friday and I hope its not just sitting in front of his house :slight_frown:

He was in Japan recently...not sure if he's back yet. I sent a box as well and he said his wife is collecting all of his beer mail. Lol

Pretty sure he is in Japan with his scouts. I don't believe his wife went along so I'm guessing she brought it in from outside.

    Edit: damnit Adam

I'm guessing concrete ship is the stout and coastal evacuation is the double IPA

Damn right I do. The gas grill is serving as an extra charcoal starter today. I have a whole chicken butterflied that's smoked and waiting homemade BBQ sauce. I also have Corn in the husks that was soaked in salt water and some heirloom cherry tomatoes with just some salt, pepper, olive oil and parsley. The local farmers market is in full swing this time of year.

See, I just have 10 lbs or so of mixed tomatoes from the garden cooking down into gravy(sauce for you heathens)...

I peeled and seeded them all, so I think I deserve a beer.

Yes, just let it come to temp in the fridge, then let it stay there a few days. As long as it's not open it will ultimately be fine as the carb in the bottle goes back into solution.

Sorry should have put more of an ID on the growlers:

    The Stout is:

    Concrete ShipRussian Imperial Stout
    ABV: 9.3% SRM 42 IBU 80
***4 ounce samples only in the tasting room
Much like the India Pale Ale was brewed at higher strengths to make the long voyage from England to India, Russian Imperial Stouts were originally brewed to make the thousand mile journey from London to eastern Russia at the request of Empress Catherine the Great. The treacherous months long journey would spoil a lesser beer, so these stouts were brewed at 9% and allowed to mellow over time, leaving a velvety smooth texture with rich notes of cocoa and coffee. Roasted barley and chocolate malts meld perfectly, giving this big bodied brew its character. We allowed our Concrete Ship - named after the sunken SS Atlantus, a retired WW1 concrete ship famously visible from Cape May's historic Sunset Beach - to mellow out for an extra month, letting the alcohol's heat dissipate just enough while retaining a warming quality. Brewed at the request of taproom associate Quart, this voyage closes out our Employee Series in a fitting fashion by bringing us full circle to the our first employee series - the Bare Knuckle Imperial Stout. Concrete Ship fared far better then it's namesake, so look for a return voyage this winter.

    The DIPA was:

    Coastal Evacuation
    Double/Imperial IPA ABV 8.0% SRM 6 IBU 80
"Coastal Evacuation": a phrase common at the Jersey Shore. Hurricane season hits hard, and we're hitting back with a Double IPA able to withstand the storm. Copious amounts of Centennial hops dominate the flavor from start to finish. It's time to evacuate-are you prepared?

Glad it all arrived safe and sound, and yes you deserve it.
