Simple solution. Everyone on BA gets first crack cause you don't matter if you don't come on the Internet and bitch about it.

numbering bottles by interns = free
honest beer community members (the good guys here that are getting fucked by mules and resellers) telling them numbers shops are selling = free
bottles already assigned to name based on check out = done for you, no extra time needed
checking ID when picking up bottles and taking signatures = no more than 30 seconds of more time than usual

the potential threat of someone getting blacklisted from ever getting bottles or going to an event again is enough to scare people and shops to not re sell the bottles.

i think its a good idea. you dont need to get so hostile about it. i was just asking you to try and explain your view and why you think it would cost tons of money and time to do it, but i dont agree with you. so lets agree to disagree.

You really are underestimating the amount of man power/hours and actually convenience that your overblown system is suggesting. A whole lot of stuff that isn't free that you claim will be.

You do realize that just throwing interns at a job isn't free work. It's taking that time they could have been working on something else more productive and wasting it on this. That's if Firestone even has interns. Something I haven't even heard of actually being a thing.

The hostility comes from you not really factoring in that this plan has so many flaws in it from the get go.

Bottles change hands way too often these days. So to hold someone accountable for a few bottles that they originally bought, and then traded to someone that in turn resells them, makes no sense.

i think people would be smarter about trading to someone whos gonna resell in a shop when it has their rep on the line. the whole concern is it getting re sold in a shop and firestone getting fucked for it. thats how they are justifying cutting down ticket limits to try and battle mules.

regardless of if you think my idea is shit, or dont agree with it, it doesnt justify being hostile or a dick about it. you're entitled to your opinion just as much as i am mine.

Do you do a background check on your trade partners? I have no clue what 99% of my trade partners do for work, or what their intentions are with the bottles I am sending them. It's not like someone proposes a trade with the disclosure of reselling the bottles.

Not to mention how many times bottles probably change hands. What the concept behind that idea would basically mean "You're responsible for this liquid in this bottle until it's utterly destroyed in a landfill"

But hey, it's all free to do all these steps..... or not.

I am now going to draft some legal document stating that everything contained within the bottle(s) being sent by me and received by you (whomever that happens to be) must consume no less than 73% of the bottle alone otherwise you would be in violation of this contract that you electronically signed when we entered into an agreement for a trade, and because of said violation, you owe me 3 limbs. I don't care which ones, but 3 minimum. They do not have to be yours but they have to have come from a living person because I will know if they didn't.....buahahahaha...oh yes....I will.

Edit: Hmmmm, it might be time to stop watching horror-slasher flicks for a will to let my brain reset.

The issue is you just think these things are easy to do. It's not. Manpower costs money. Someone has to go out of there way to sit there and match each bottle with the number. Let alone they have to individually label each one with a batch number and make sure they are all in order so when they give it out it's accurate.

THEN you have to assume that someone will report a bottle they bought or is being sold.

What's the benefit of all of this? Is whatever the result worth the time and effort? I say no.

I never said any of it was easy. There's no easy way to fix the issue. Just shared my idea of a possible way to curb re sellers and people get their panties in a bunch over it. Sheesh.

Not a liberation, but Bretta Weiss will be available at Paso and Buelton tomorrow. 2 bottle max purchase and looks like a 375ml this time.

Wonder if they made a little or made a lot and want it to last so people who visit can walk away with something

Jeffers was saying something along the lines of cranking out enough that they were tempted to do limited foot print distribution on it. So there should be a fair amount of it. I'm eager to get some bottles, it's a solid beer. But unless I'm rolling with a buddy, that 2 bottle limit will keep me from going to Buellton until I can get a buddy to come with.

Bretta Weiss seems more expensive and in a smaller bottle this year. I can see it sitting at that price.

I always thought brettaweisse was too pricy for the style, even at 500mL. I'm spoiled by HS discounted Hottenroth though

Bretta Weiss has seen some distribution with kegs to the so cal area. I've seen it at 3 bars in Northern LA.

Do you have something against them? All I see are complaints about how they handle the releases, social media, etc.
