Pittsburgh - New Beers & Local Breweries

For those of you who have been to one of our beer tastings, you know the drill. For those who haven't, here's the deal:

Our excitement to open the brewpub can barely be contained. We've been testing the limits of our pilot system recently, brewing both some old favorites and some new innovations.

Now, it's time for you to try them. On Saturday, August 22 we plan to have a booth in support of Pittsburgh VegFest at Allegheny Commons Park (a short walk from our future brewery).

To add to the festivities, we will hold a beer tasting at our building that afternoon. We'll have 10-12 of our beers on tap, and will be providing samples. We'll have our Grapefruit IPA, Red IPA, Porter, Vanilla Bourbon Stout, a couple of Sours, and a few surprises.

Come try tasters of our beers, hear about the progress of our building and equipment, and have a good time. Obviously, you must be 21 to sample the beers.

I just added them to the database here. A handful of Untappd check ins. They look to be real check ins (looking at you Couch) but only 1-2 comments. Relatively decent scores.

Do they have regular hours or just sporadic tastings like the one mentioned above?

 

I mentioned them a week or so ago and nobody had any input on them really. I have a wedding that day, or I would probably try and check them out. Will be interested to hear what anyone on here has to say after the tasting.

 

I don't think they are opened yet.

I know right? Now I feel bad for the 2 year old I'll kick if this doesn't show or I miss getting some.

I checked out their space during deutschtown music festival. I think I remeber the guy telling me they're opening "this fall". Last I saw, their permetting is checking out on time, so hopefully that holds true. It'd be convenient for me as I could walk over. Interesting location choice for a brewery needless to say.

 

And I now realize that because it's on Saturday, I also have a wedding that day. Whomever goes needs to report back on their quality.

 

Coming down from Toronto on that Saturday for a Pirates game, will definitely try to check that place out. Also love how fast this thread moves, makes the work day easier.

Was in Toronto a couple of months ago. Bellwood's was fantastic. Next time I'm there will definitely be loading up.
