I called Bee-Gees in Dayton today and they were out of Oro Negro. I highly doubt anyone has any at this point.

I went to a few go to places over the last week and they were all either sold out of Oro Negro or were reserving them other people that called. Very glad I decided to drive 3 hours to Athens

Any speculation on when BBBM will release again? Need to know when to start pinching the pennies!

October was mentioned a few times in the past, but can't say for sure.

I can't wait for people to ask about the release date, bottle limit and price over the next 2 months. Lol. If y'all thought Oro was bad... :grimacing:

I wish there was some way to make a post stand out or every time some one entered the thread then they would be directed to the post above.

I cannot wait for Black Maple. I won't be missing that one. It's at the very top of my wish list.

So last weekend we had some family folk over to brew a beer. While we usually don't offer up the "good stuff" when my brother in law visits since he's a "freeloading turd," we made an exception since the brew day went so well. Just figured I'd share his Untappd review of some JO's beers:

Yes that's an elephant statute from my gameroom.

Please feel free to friend him on Untappd. All commentary is this colorful.

Might want to let him know he checked into the wrong beer. Looks like a bottle of BB Brick Kiln. Great commentary though.

The wife and I are coming up, err over, for our first bottle release next weekend. We plan to come up Friday and hang out, as we already took the day off.

I'm pretty sure I understand the whole calendar page concept, pick one up Friday. Come back Saturday at 9am-ish and get seated, around 11am bottle release starts with January 1st being numero uno and they continue to go through the calendar year until everyone with a calendar page has gotten some bottles.

So couple questions, do all the releases have just one bottle per person to start? Or does the bottle count per person depend on quantity and/or turnout?

Also I didn't know if there was any general Do's or don'ts for a bottle release noob. Thanks!!

with the amount of people now showing up all the bottle will be one per person. after everyone goes through the lines there are seconds of whats left. the release goes slow because brad is social and talk to everyone which is great. don't be upset if you have a page in august and you do not get bottles till around 2. other then that just have fun

Bottle limits will depend on the turnout. They set them at the actual release. Lately they have been going with 1-per person on all beers so that everybody who comes goes home with something. I personally love that method as those that cannot make it until Friday night (or even Saturday morning) can still usually snag some goodies. There's no way of knowing for certain right now, though.

Only "don't" I can think of is "Don't be a dick." Follow that, and you're all good

This is probably one of the smoothest bottle releases also. So you'll be spoiled with Jackie O's being your first one. So innocent...

My favorite moment leading up to a release is when they publish the draft list...mmmmmm
