I still see last years on shelves pretty frequently.

Boston Wine Exchange had several bottles off to the side earlier this summer, haven't checked recently. I saw a few bottles at The Wine Press on Beacon Street as recently as a couple weeks ago. I like the beer but you'd have to pay me to drink it this time of year.

I refuse to purchase a pumpkin beer until September and the daily high temperature drops below 70.

Oktoberfest bothers me much less. It's a refreshing lager that can be consumed year round. Pumpkin ales come from a very particular seasonal item though. Of course it tastes good now, but it tastes even better when the air gets cool and there is football on the tv.

While I can? I can still get 2011 Pumking, and probably 2010 if I look hard enough. That shit doesn't sell out.

I just brewed a batch of pumpkin ale yesterday. It was hot as balls, I was soaked with sweat, but seriously after 6 hours of smelling roasted gourd and spices, none of us could resist the urge to crack open some Wolaver's pumpkin ale that's been in the cellar since last fall. (It was just awesome with ~9mo on it, by the way... Gotta love unfiltered/unpasteurized beers.)

Any spottings near Lowell/Dracut/Billerica yet? I know it's at Julio's, I just don't want to make that drive if I don't have to.

Saw some at Redstone today, but like many others I refuse to consider it until the temperature drops twenty degrees.
