    Closed! 27 entries, with quite a few saying that they would pass along their winnings. I'll let you know this weekend and hopefully have the box out by Tuesday!

    @RuckIt

    How does your attempted trade impact your LIF? I'm feeling pretty good about my 128oz guess but that could throw a loop in things...

    To be honest, I doubt I'll be able to swing a trade. My window is going to be so small (15-20 minutes, sometime around 6:30-7pm) and everyone wants Green so I find it hard to believe that someone will trade me a few cans unless they're going today and tomorrow with a proxy. That said, with low can limits anticipated for tomorrow (I'm guessing 2pp) crowds probably won't be bad, meaning growler fills might be an option...

    In the interest of fairness, any trades I make will not count towards the final ounces in the LIF.

    Hope you can get some. Every time I go to TH I try to convince myself it won't be a zoo, but thus far no luck aside from once on a Saturday around 3. That was BC though (before cans).

    I'm sure you've seen the TH thread, but the key really is to show up early or late - and the only reason to show up early is so you don't wait for growler fills, or want to get some of the leftover can from the day before - although the leftovers are becoming more common as they drop the limits to nearly nothing in order to stretch them extra deep into the line.

    My preferred strategy is to arrive around 9-9:30am on Saturday. They won't have announced what they're canning yet, so the Julius or Green crowds won't have arrived. Also, as described above, any leftover cans will have a lower pp limit which keeps away the people out for high quantities to trade (that Case limit release of Julius a few weeks ago was absurd). Lastly, if you're there that early, you're almost guaranteed to be top 20 in line, and your growlers will be filled before you even make it through the can line. In and out in 15 minutes once they open!

    If early arrival isn't an option, there's nearly no difference in getting there 30-minutes after they open vs. 3 hours after. The can rush will be over letting you walk in and out with no line, and you'll be looking at a 1-3 hour wait for growler fills anyways. Play a couple games of cornhole, check out the new waterfall / koi pond, or head down the road for dinner and come back later to pick up your growlers.

    Tell me about it. They can fill 20-30 orders per hour with their current system, and usually have the first 30 in line filled before they even open. That means if you're #100 at opening, you're looking at 1.5-2 hours EASY to get growlers. Or you can show up near closing and hope they've got stuff left and the line is only 30-60 minutes.

    What is wrong with their system that they only can get through so few?

    They've only got 1 or 2 taps of each beer they offer on that given day, only enough room for 2 or maybe 3 employees behind the counter, and their growler limit is 4 or 5pp. It's usually only the regulars who don't max out on growlers, so I'd say the majority of the crowd requires easily 5-8 minutes per order. That means 12 orders per employee, per hour. Watching it in motion, it's incredibly efficient given the sheer volume of customers they deal with. Once they expand their hours I'm sure it'll get better. Right no they're only open 3 hours Thursday & Friday, and then all day Saturday.

    I was thinking about making a detour there on my way up to HopJam, but their hours are too limited.
