Thanks for the feedback on the 32ozers. What about filling anyone's growler? Like I said I feel like this is more acceptable now, for some reason. Just need to know if I have to search my inventory for a specific growler, but new ones, or if I can just grab any. Not sure where I going to get fills yet so sorry I cant ask about specific places.

I don't think anyone cares anymore what growler is used...

I think it's a product of peer pressure more than anything. I think because most newer breweries didn't seem to care, there was pressure on those that did require it...and it made them look like greedy bastards.

If I had a brewery, my only stipulation would be that I didn't fill clear glass...

The new rye ipa at roundabout was very good. He's really got a knack for making hoppy beers.

@jeevo and @barflybastard I was down at Deep Creek a few weeks ago, and I go pretty much every year. Your best bet is always the 'McHenry Beverage Shoppe'. That might be the same place to which you are already referring, though.

They always have a pretty nice cooler selection and some decent singles. I snagged a Mean Old Tom there last year which was a nice surprise, and a couple years ago the guy behind the counter gave me a 120 Minute. This year I got some of Maui's Coconut Porter, DC Brau's Hefe, Firestone's PIVO, Java Head, and Old Rasputin. I crushed a fuck ton of Hoegaarden as well which reminded me of my affinity for it.

Check the dates on everything fresh-dependent.

Yes, I would recommend this. Coincidentally, I actually did the same exact thing... haha.

McHenry does have a really great selection, but if you are like me and prefer hoppy beers throughout the day, I think you'll be disappointed with the freshness issues there.

I was down there twice this summer and both times drank fresh union craft duckpin the whole weekend

I grew up less than 10 minutes away from your place. I am always in that area visiting my parents. Plus, Saison and "farmhouse" style beers are my favorites. Excited for you to start brewing!

They should make that 11. Saison de Lis isn't a sour.

If that's the one I'm thinking of, you're correct. It's not sour at all. A nice saison regardless.

You could say that about a lot of the other beers too... smh. I like how they spell 'rouge' two different ways right next to one another. Really gives it that Caliente feel we all love so dearly.

First time. Think they've been circling putting a DIPA in their lineup for a while.

My buddy is coming in from Harrisburg tonight with a bottle or 2 of that for me in addition to Pizza Boy sours, Tired Hands, some Westbrook, among others. Pretty excited.
