One of my beer drivers told me that one of his superiors told him ballast point will be here early next year. Anyone else hear/know anything?

Just happened to sit next to a Ballast sales rep in the spring at Cigar City and he told me they were trying to expand into Michigan. Take it for what it's worth, but hearing this doesn't surprise me. If they're giving us grapefruit sculpin and victory at sea then welcome aboard.

It's crazy how limited our distribution is compared to Chicago. Ballast Point would be a welcome addition. Some Firestone Walker would be nice too.

    Amen, and amen.

Victory at Sea is such a good freakin' beer. Bring it, Ballast Point.

I will happily drive a car filled with Ballast Point to MI if you agree to fill said car with KBS/CBS and Kuhnhenn... :grinning:

Habanero Sculpin > VaS> Grapefruit Sculpin (all are delicious though).

They should make a Habanero Victory at Sea.

We just got BP here in WI, in the last year, and their IPA's sit on the shelf all over the place due to high price points. As a displaced Michigander, you can trust me when I say that there are plenty of great, if not better, and cheaper IPA's in your state. Victory at Sea is wonderful though. That and Even Keel is one of the best hoppy session IPA's, I've ever had. Definitely unseated Founder's All Day as my yard work beer.

This is 100% true, and probably a good reason that MI distro is so "lacking". Tough to compete here when the in-state stuff is so great and, also, so prevalent.

VaS is by far my favorite Ballast Point offering. Would absolutely love a Habanero version (wouldn't be surprised if they have as a one-off at the brewpub).

Sculpin in Cans will slowly work its way into rotation with 51k and the Kimmie, The Yank and The Holy Gose as my "Im to cheap to buy beer at the course, so I bring my own to golf league" selection.

Agreed VaS is my favorite from BP as well. I do enjoy Sculpin, GF Sculpin and Habenero Sculpin as well. Got to try Mango Sculpin on tap a few weeks back and it was better than all the before mentioned Sculpins.

Also my brother just picked me up some Calm Before the Storm Vanilla/Coffee Cream Ale. Can't wait to try that.

Man, I feel like I'm the only one on this site who didn't like VaS, but I only had one bottle. I think I need to try another one.

Love Habanero Sculpin though, hope they start canning it soon.

Anything that saves me from having to drive to Ohio sounds good to me. If we could get Sixpoint, Toppling Goliath, Cigar City, and Firestone Walker to all distribute up here, things would be great.
Yeah, we have great IPA's around here for a cheaper price, but fresh Sculpin is pretty f'ing awesome.
I thought I had heard a while back that Sweetwater was supposed to be here over the summer. Anyone heard anything on them?

This would be awesome. Especially fond of Grapefruit Sculpin and Victory at Sea.
