I did go back and look at last year. $10.99 for a 500ml and this year is $13.99 for 375ml. Seems odd they would do that although everything has been selling out...

Yeah too rich for that style. It is better then Hottenroth no question however at ~$6+ for twice the volume that works out to brettaweisse costing 4x the price.

I'll stick to consuming boatloads of it at festivals.

The 500mL bottles sat around forever at a lower price point... I don't get this. I like bretta wiesse, but wouldn't buy it at $10.99/500mL, much less $13.99/375mL.

The Barrelworks side of things at FW seems to be running a bit loose and reckless, without common sense or decisiveness...take this perfectly illustrated example:

I don't think it's personal with anybody...there just doesn't seem to be too many logical decisions, this is turn opens themselves up to ridicule. I personally am a big fan of all their beers, but their (barrelworks) business strategy and logic is enough to drive me nuts.

yeah, something seems off. i dont even want to buy those at that price point.

My guess is the price point is a market reaction to their popularity. And in this case, supply and demand will keep that beer on the shelf for months to come.

I think that's fair. I guess I just don't see a need to ridicule them about having to pull down a Facebook post or whatever. I agree with the pricing of Bretta Weisse though. It seems strange. I guess I don't think about enough to drive me crazy though. Ha.

Eventbrite just sent out an update email.

Is it going to be embarrassing when the line for SARA is longer than the lines for any of the FW beers?

Embarrassing? Maybe. But fine with me because I'll be drinking all of the Barrelworks stuff.

Going to be great when everyone will be in the SARA line and not the others. Can't wait!

A Message from Firestone Walker Barrelworks :

We’re just four days away from our Krieky Bones & ZinSkin Liberation – are you getting thirsty yet? Well, you should be. We're ready to celebrate another Barrelworks release with you & we've got some pretty special beers making an appearance.
Oh, and speaking of appearances, remember that Guest Brewer we mentioned? Well I guess it’s time to announce who it is. Perhaps you’ve heard of them, just this badass brewery out of Capitola, California named Sante Adairius Rustic Ales. Yea, you heard us! Founder Adair Paterno will be joining us pouring some their highly coveted brews & we couldn’t be more excited!

Granted I've only been to one Liberation (last year) but there really wasn't more a line more than a minute long after the first 15 minutes. Have things changed?

Meh, even at the F1B2 release, it was pretty chill. A couple lines were maybe 2-3 minutes, but you're walking past food. Not bad at all. Some lines are quicker than others obviously.

To be fair, it isn't like these have become huge events compared to last year. They are selling out more quickly but the number of people going has not drastically increased.

I think that SARA being there will likely make it so more people show up earlier though.

Excited for the SARA pours! Wasn't planning on staying for the entire event (thinking it would be as packed as Feral One B2 release) but shit looks like I will now.
