For sure 7:30pm is going to be critical...so the line for that starts when, 3pm?

I wish the limit did not change, but it is their beer and they can decide to sell it however they want to. I will buy as much as I am allowed to and will have a blast that day regardless.

If the number of wrist bands is the number of bottles/2 then I doubt there will be much left over at 7:30. It seemed like the reason why there were so many left over last year was due to a lot of people not buying the limit. Granted, I do not know the ratio of bottles to wrist bands last year, so maybe some extra was planned.

On a side note, I wonder how many pre-traders just had a heart attack.

As soon as I get in at 11, I'm going to get right in the 7:30 line

I still believe this is all hype. Last year they had them left on Monday morning. Even if they sell it out this time it will be at the VERY end of the night.

Last year there was 3000 bottles. 750 wristbands with a 4 bottle limit.

Someone made an interesting comment of the Facebook post that CCB posted.

"this is a good reason to have a reserve society for the regulars. Locals could be members and get 3 and the rest of us line up for one or two"

I for one would welcome this. Though that is easy for me to say since I live in the area. What is everyone's thoughts on these types of clubs? It would be nice to have to ability to purchase bottles without having to worry about being in town on release day, etc.

I completely agree with them. Breweries make their money off regulars not off of people who fly in once a year to buy a few bottles. I think it is awesome that people do that. I am glad of it, but people who spend more than $1000 a year on a breweries beer should have preference on someone who spends $40. That doesn't even include going to resaurants and ordering their favorite breweries beer.

It's hard enough for CCB to pull off this big event, they don't need another thing to worry about with membership. The fun throughout the day is trying all the awesome beer and meeting cool people, not whining about only getting 2 bottles. Get in line at a reasonable hour, not like there wasn't any notice it would be on 3/10/12. Bring more sherpas if you want more than 2 bottles. Last year we left Melbourne around 7AM hung over as hell to get in line so we were assured we can get the bottles.

CGMLS5, just curious but what place were you in line when you got there (around 9?)?

200-250 or so. Plenty formed behind us. Hence we have a hotel close by and are heading out for the weekend Friday morning. So much stuff going on!

I didn't have a full out attack, but I am definitely not happy. I just hope they have enough to last until sales go to "12 max". Good thing I am going with a lot of friends that can bring me beers while I stand in line. I prefer to pre-trade because then I know exactly how many to buy and the people I trade with like it because I don't ask for crazy trade imblances, just $4$.

For all those that waited to trade for Hunahpu until after the release, expect people to want crazy imbalanced trades for it. I am starting to get a little tired of all the hype and forced rarity surrounding some of these beers. Sure, Kate the Great, Hunahpu, Darkness, Sexual Chocolate, Dark Lord and the others are all great beers, but when it gets down to it...it's just beer.

good lord. i really hope this causes people to forget about the bottles and/or blackout and not make it to the Hunahpu's lines. and this list doesn't even include the CCB rarities!

Pretty sure both of those were there last year. They were some of the highlights of the guests taps.

Was it the Funky Buddha Passionfruit Berliner last year or was that a PF Berliner made by someone else? I am asking because I want to be sure to get more if it was theirs. I was hoping Maple Bacon would be back again so I could get about 10 other pours while everyone stood in line for it.

last year's berliner was made by johnathan wakefield, the passionfruit dragonfruit berliner. he brought two more this year, and funky buddha ALSO has a passionfruit berliner this year
